This man’s definition of sanity is supporting genocide. Sadly he is far from alone in Washington where they view a rent freeze as more horrifying than tens of thousands of murdered children.
-right wing dems yell at us not to vote 3rd party every 4 yrs
-we run leftists in dem primaries
-socialists win democratic primaries bc voters realize they’re actually invested in advancing the agenda rw dems simply lie about
-right wing dems demand socialists create 3rd party
Hi @NYTimesPR, thanks for responding. Appreciate it. I'm a subscriber and I think some of your reporters do some great reporting.
Just to respond to your response to my post:
1) There were no facts "misstated" by me. You cited three examples in response. Only one of them was about specific *named* GOP House members (and it wasn't from "yesterday", it was from a year ago.) So I stand by my post.
2) As others have pointed out already, none of the 3 articles you cited have the names of any GOP individuals in the titles ("Right-Wing Republicans" "a Kansas Republican" "G.O.P. Fingerprints"), in comparison to your original "Who is Darializa" takedown piece. Where is your "Who is Brandon Gill" or "Who is Keith Self" or "Who Is Randy Fine" or "Who Is Mary Miller" critical profile pieces? How about "Who is Tom Emmer," given the GOP House Majority Whip just a few days ago spewed racist crap about Somalis? And where are the Peter Baker tweets summarizing *their* most controversial claims?
3) This isn't a new criticism. Many have made it against your paper for many years; that you go harder on the left than the right, that you even occasionally whitewash the far right. Remember when you had to do a public response in 2017 to a NYT profile that went super soft on a... Nazi? https://t.co/IF6DhTwcrp. Remember when you guys did a softball piece about a far-right, Islamophobic Trump aide's love for cooking? https://t.co/dp0Sf9PQg9.
Oh, and dare I ask: where are the fawning 'Trump voters' in diners' equivalent pieces for DSA members in NYC bodegas? Isn't it time?
4) Finally, that your response to my post was to proudly say you guys at the Times have "been documenting the increasingly extreme viewpoints on both sides of the political spectrum" kinda makes my point for me. One side's extreme wants universal healthcare and an end to genocide. The other side's extreme says Somalis are "garbage" and wants "remigration", mass deportations and white supremacy.
But, hey, "Both sides!"
When Trump won in 2016, Dem voters largely shielded themselves from self-reflection with Russiagate, Comey, and broadly the feeling they underestimated Trump. Losing again has made Dem voters distrust the mouthpieces that have kept telling them to keep the same path
We had a remarkably fast turnaround on “would a black candidate get the same grace as Platner for their bad posts?” And the answer from the voters was “yes” but the people who largely pushed the original hypothetical are ones doing the most complaining about Chevalier’s!
That’s what the Jamie Harrison tweet misses. These young leaders aren’t confused about the civil-rights-era Democratic machine. They are leaving it because it stopped being a ladder and became a gate. The DSA gave them permission to stop waiting.

Did you think just because the Knicks won a title this year that @_prezidente would stop being disrespectful? WRONG!

Since this most recent drop of votes, @Janeese4DC has officially surpassed Mayor Bowser’s vote total for ANY of her primary races (2022, 2018, 2014). As of now, this is the highest total turnout (raw votes) of any mayoral primary since 2010.
The thing about KHive and Blue MAGA saying white leftists want Black women’s labor but not their leadership is that you can apply this to how Joe Biden treated Kamala Harris from Summer 2020 to January 2025.
@CodyC64 Hello Cody. Hope you're well. My name is Joel Anderson—native Houstonian, TCU alum, Big 12 enthusiast, player advocate, etc etc—with @ringer Tailgate, the only college football podcast endorsed by @BillSimmons. Please come on with us tomorrow. We'd love to have you.
@TheRedmenTV On a free? Hell yeah. He’d be a perfect stopgap while Ekitike is out and he loves the club so he probably won’t mind being a squad player until Danns is ready (🤞🏾)

Over the last three days, Democratic and Republican operatives created the narrative that Graham Platner SA'ed someone. When the story came out, there was no SA allegation. It's mostly a conservative activist saying he was a bad boyfriend, but even she says there was no domestic violence.

I'm convinced 90% of our fans believe Alonso was the right manager for us purely because he played for us. Nothing actually to do with his managerial ability or style of play.
