In an earnings call, the CEO mentioned that the chatbot is affecting subscriber growth, causing the stock to plummet nearly 50%.
@TaylorLorenz But "creator" does not confer the ability to reach thousands/millions. Just cuz you create doesn't mean you influence. There's an economy around consumers influencing consumers, and that's different than the economy for content creation.
@benedictevans He never said to replace AI. He's merely saying FB is doing a bad job. When someone continually does a bad job at a critical thing, one can't help but get prescriptive.
@justin_hart and what pay tell do you think is the cause of the decline since a month ago? While the status has improved, why do you think the threat has diminished? Is there some cure or vaccine i'm not aware of?
@Noahpinion Perhaps earned media matters most of all, certainly more than paid media. I'd like to see an analysis of the relationship between the amount of media coverage and success at the polls.

@jmj Is not Facebook predominantly invite-only? I suspect if you chart the % of social media users that belong to invite-only groups since, say 2010, you'll see a decline.
