@francesharris0n Yes Frances. Dr. Varatharajah is a witness of the Sri Lankan government’s genocidal war against Tamils. He openly talked in Geneva/ UN.
Praying for Dr. Varatharajah’s speed recovery and hi get well soon.
Tamil Genocide Monuments must rise around the world because they serve as permanent, unerasable witnesses to a history that the Sri Lankan State continues to deny. While perpetrators destroy memorials in the Tamil homeland, Tamil Eelam, and attempt to rewrite the past, these monuments stand as bold declarations of truth: that between 1948 and 2009, Tamils were subjected to a systematic genocide for daring to seek self-determination. They educate future generations, heal intergenerational trauma, honour the tens of thousands murdered, and ensure that the Tamil struggle for justice and dignity is never forgotten. More than stone and bronze, each monument becomes a global lighthouse for accountability, a counter to denial, and a powerful affirmation that no community should ever again be erased for simply existing and resisting oppression. The video clips, one from the Tamil Genocide Monument opened in Brampton, Canada, in 2025, and the second one in Australia, opened in 2026. #TamilGenocide @UNHumanRights@UN@TamilGuardian
Soosai’s last public message.
17 May, 2009.
“The last hours are happening, the last hours are happening… a lot of people are dying, heavy fighting is going on. A lot of people are dying… in all areas, corpses are heaping up… the people are not being allowed to leave”.
“Until the end we won’t cower… but our people are dying.”
“The international community has turned a blind eye.”
On May 18, 2026, we observe Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day to honour the memory of tens of thousands of Tamils who were killed, disappeared, or subjected to unimaginable suffering during Sri Lanka’s decades-long genocide against the Tamil people.

The Tamil Genocide Monument in Brampton's Chinguacousy Park was vandalized again on March 20, 2026—graffiti on the podium and panels, continuing a pattern of genocide denial. This is not random; it's a deliberate erasure of Tamil suffering and genocide truth. There were threats sent by Sri Lankan extremists a few months ago.
Tamil diaspora, Canadians and human rights defenders stand resilient. The monument endures as a symbol of remembrance and justice. Canadians: Reject Tamil genocide denial. Report foreign interference. Hold vandals accountable. #TamilGenocide #NeverForget #StandAgainstDenial @ncctonline
Rep. Nancy Mace torches Tim Walz over the rampant fraud that occurred under his watch, doing some "Minnesota math" with him:
Mace: "How much money was spent in 2017 on autism?"
Walz: "I don't know, I wasn't the governor."
Mace: "Did you not just say you prepared for this hearing today? $1 million...How much money was spent on autism in Minnesota in 2024?"
Walz: "I don't have the number in front of me."
Mace: "Were you governor in 2024?"
Walz: "I was."
Mace: "...It's unbelievable. $343 million was spent in 2024. What percentage increase is that, from $1M to $343M?"
Walz: "I'm not here to be your prop, go ahead and tell me."
Mace: "Wait, are you governor of Minnesota, or not?...The math is 34,200% increase."
Brutal.
🟥 WOW...

🕯️Tamil homeland honours families of fallen fighters ahead of Maaveerar Naal
Communities came together across the Tamil homeland this week to honour families of fallen fighters, as preparations for Maaveerar Naal continue at pace.
At cemeteries razed by the Sri Lankan military, town halls and village grounds, parents, spouses, children and siblings were welcomed, thanked and recognised for the sacrifices of their loved ones.
