On the ByBit hack: dedicated devices, no blind signing, rate-limited upgradability etc. are all important, but I think there are 2 fundamental issues:

- Honeypots: as long as there are $1B+ accounts, enormous resources will be spent on trying to hack them.
- Transparency: having all code, state, and transaction flows fully visible to anyone with internet access, makes the hackers' job so much easier.

The solution to the first one is self-custody, the solution to the second one is privacy. Ideal solution: self-custodial accounts with off-chain state.
