Jesus. FTC finds companies are exploiting your data – browsing history, location, buying patterns, even “mouse movements on a webpage” – to gouge you with higher prices shown specifically to you. Just shocking.
They are desperate! The goal is to integrate it so deeply into the structure of the internet that it becomes too big to fail. Billons and billions of dollars at stake in multiple industries, including the hardware and construction side, dependent on exponential growth.

• OpenAI’s new task service—a far cry from general agents—is “buggy” and “extremely brittle”
• Apple couldn't even get news summaries to work reliably
LLMs have their uses. They are great for brainstorming and autocomplete for coding, etc, but they cannot be trusted on their own—not even for basic tasks like reminders and news summaries.
AGI is nowhere near in sight.
Shanks' voice actor, Shuichi Ikeda, has retired from his iconic role as Char from Gundam. This is sad news, and it raises concerns he might also retire from voicing Shanks in One Piece, as he is now 75 years old. 😔
This is a good example of why generative AI opt-outs don't work.
This author's book has been stolen and mashed up into an unlicensed AI version. AI companies that scrape the internet for training data will ingest the stolen version and train on it.
How could the original author possibly opt out the stolen version?
