लंबाई में मोड़ेंः सबसे पहले झंडे को लंबाई में आधा मोड़ें ताकि ऊपर‑नीचे बराबर हो जाए.

चौड़ाई में मोड़ेंः अब इसे चौड़ाई में आधा मोड़ें. ध्यान रहे रंगों की पंक्तियां साफ दिखें.

जरूरत हो तो दो बार चौड़ाई में मोड़ें ताकि झंडे को सुरक्षित रखना आसान हो जाए.

झंडे को कपड़े या साफ कवर में रखकर ऊंचे, सम्मानजनक जगह पर सुरक्षित रखें.

याद रखें: झंडा कभी जमीन पर न रखें और खराब होने पर उसे Flag Code के अनुसार सम्मानपूर्वक नष्ट करें. कभी फटा या गंदा हो चुका राष्ट्रीय झंडा न फहराएं.
