Could a phone call from Anthony Edwards turn a Minnesota LeBron mock-up into reality? 🐺👑
While Cleveland & Philly lead the race, sources tell me that the Timberwolves have massive internal interest.
But there's a catch—Ant has yet to make the call.
If he's serious about recruiting the King to the Twin Cities, keep a close eye on Fanatics Fest in NYC.

Isaiah Evans today in his third Summer League game:
22 points
1 turnover
9-22 FG | 4-15 3P
26 minutes
Even without the efficiency, it was great to see some of Evans' attempts start to fall. He entered the afternoon shooting 2-23 on FGs in Las Vegas and 0-15 on 3Ps.
Tim Connelly told .@DanBarreiroKFAN just now that Anthony Edwards has "as big a voice" as anybody in the building on roster moves.
Connelly also noted that Edwards has "long talked about" LaMelo Ball, thinking that he would be a "great addition."
Alex Rodriguez and LeBron James were spotted conversing last week in New York at a Jay Z concert. In addition, Anthony Edwards and Alex Rodriguez are expected to be in attendance at an upcoming Fanatics event in NYC… along with LeBron James

The Timberwolves want to sign Anthony Edwards to a "monster extension" next summer, per @DWolfsonKSTP
"The idea is to get Anthony Edwards a year from now to put pen to paper on another monster extension. The idea is to elevate Ant's game, get him to be All-NBA once again, then he can maximize his earning potential. The Wolves want Anthony Edwards a year from now to sign that monster extension. LaMelo Ball, the thought is, is going to help elevate Anthony Edwards that much more."

The Timberwolves are still in the hunt for LeBron James.
“Not just speaking to LeBron, but any free agent: this is a place you’re going to have fun and win a lot of games.”

Ant is better than Maxey.
I have more faith in LaMelo to stay healthy and adapt his game than Embiid.
McDaniels/Gobert give Minny a stronger defensive foundation.
I have more faith in Minny’s depth. I think it’s a better playing style fit with fewer high usage guys.
So yes.
The Timberwolves are the best basketball fit for LeBron James.
C: Gobert / Beringer
F: LeBron / Green
F: McDaniels / Shannon
G: Edwards / Dosunmu
G: LaMelo / Hyland
That's a filthy 10-man rotation. Everyone in the rotation besides the centers can create their own shot. They'd basically be upgrading Conley with LaMelo and Randle with LeBron. With Zikarsky, Evans, Clark, and Pullin as young depth pieces and a possible DDV return late in the year, they'd also have a deep bench.
Of course, LeBron may not want to live in Minnesota. And he may not want to be the third ball handler behind Ball and Edwards. There are other factors at play. But purely from a basketball perspective, with LeBron added, this Timberwolves team might just be the favorite.
