@dhh started to play with Omarchy - early days for me - quick thought though - why not make a knoppix style installer where the entire os sits on a portable usb drive?. Then I can take my configuration on the road and dual boot on any machine. High speed USB of course.
@TeslaSupport Powerwall 3 stuck at 15% on standby, no alerts, grid-only setup. 22% Backup/78% Time-Based Control. App 4.46.6, firmware 25.18.1. Breakers on, internet stable, power cycled. I see BMS_a083_Nvram_Filecache & BMS_a023_SW_assertion help me! #Powerwall3#Teslasupport

Can you start with the environmental regulations that have led to potholes? Seems there are good alternatives to bitumen but a lot of areas across the UK seem to have the worse materials ironically pushing up the costs of maintenance damaging the environment.
@Ryanair my daughter and and friends flew to Turin yesterday but her luggage didn’t turn up. A number of them haven’t had their thermals and clothes delivered. Apparently the luggage is still sat at Stansted. What should they do - it’s ruining their ski trip without them.
@greateranglia unbelievable. On a train from Stortford, got told to get off at Harlow and that service would stop. 5 mins later a full 4 carriage train can’t take us. Then another train goes straight through Harlow. Shining incompetence leaving a thousand passengers stranded.
@jonskeet@xkcd Everybody loves an unknown error when reading an unexpected BOM in a file. It’s right up there along with scratching nails down a whiteboard
It strikes me that with the appalling way the Twitter layoffs have been conducted, they're likely to find it hard to retain the remaining staff *or* recruit new staff (at least without a huge mea culpa). Who'd want to work for a company run like that?
@VitalikButerin Ethereum has gas fees to keep computational costs down and stop endless recursion. I think gas fees should be applied to C++, .net, JavaScript, Java and go. That way programmers would be persuaded to write efficient code and reduce the carbon impact of computing.
My concern with VR is similar to some anti-crypto people's concern about crypto: a feeling that people are "in love with the idea of it" in a way that far outpaces actual applications.
Just like with crypto, I do think important apps exist! But "VR for the sake of VR" won't work
@elonmusk 1. Create a payment rail using crypto so people can instantly pay for goods and services via Tweets? PayPal Mk2.
2. If you can remove bots then twitter could also become an digital identity network?
3. Allow users to create anonymous personas from their acc?
4. Digital twin?
