Earlier this year, @noamseg and I ran a survey of 6,500 tech professionals asking them what tools they use most in their work. We shared the results of this analysis in our annual "What's in your stack?" report (see link below).
But then we got a question: "What promising tools appeared in the 'other' category?" In other words, what should be in your stack?
Here's what the data showed us are the most interesting up-and-coming tools you should know about:
1. AI: @meetgranola@glean@chatprd
2. Work communication: @Larksuite@Gather_town
3. Presentations: @gammaapp@Pitch@Larksuite@napkin_ai
4. Data: @posthog
5. Project management: @shortcut
6. Design: @penpotapp
7. Customer support: @usepylon@churnzero @crisp_im
8. CRM: @attio
9. User research: @TallyForms
10. Email: @mimestream
11. Docs: @SLAB@Obsidian
12. Virtual whiteboards: @excalidraw

Quill 2.0 is released! It's always fulfilling to update the users list and being able to add names like Figma, Miro, and Zoom.
Also fun to write some code again - particularly "upgrading" the homepage's laptop using just CSS (compare with https://t.co/meA2LZ2ELl)

Anton, Head of Engineering at @coastpayments tried Google Docs, an in-house tool combined with GitHub, and Confluence before trying (and sticking with) Slab. The best part? Their engineering team loves it ❤️

Repeat questions in Slack interrupting your day — this was what made @intruder_io start documenting their core info in Slab. And now, they are down from 2-3 questions/day to less than 1 per week! 💥👏
@LaurenJBuchman@NotionHQ I loved notion initially, but they've had bad search for years! I got impatient and now I love @SLAB. It's just a wiki with a good editor and search.
Slab doesn't try to be your everything tool by including ticketing and database functionality.
We asked @schmingle why he chose Slab for @goodwatercap. His answer 🤩 🤌
“Because Slab is fast, modern, and intuitive—and its alternatives clunky and slow—it’s fully purpose-built for knowledge and helps teams adopt it on their own.”

Curri shares how documentation sparks curiosity, empowers team members to connect the dots, and fuels a culture of transparency. Exciting to see @curri supercharge their impact with knowledge sharing 🚀

One of the many benefits of documenting core processes at @LoopAndTie? People can truly unplug on vacation 🏖 because others can follow the documentation to ensure everything runs smoothly 👏

I spent a LOT of time with @SLAB yesterday in building out the LFA 1.0 intranet and it was so easy! I was able to copy in our team handbook, and it formatted to automatically make a table of contents. Plus I love how many apps are already integrated for embedding.

As @omnidian grew 10x, Jeff Berg the Senior VP of Engineering knew they needed an efficient way to document and share knowledge. They chose Slab because it makes creating, sharing, and finding information easy.

Law firm @radiantlaw delivers 90% of contracts in just half a day, where traditional firms take 30+ days.
Their secret: documentation 📝

Engineers love documentation… but sales? 🧐
"Without Slab, we wouldn't be nearly as effective at new sales rep onboarding."
