@animaljusticeAU@Asher_Wolf@tanya_plibersek It’s the taxpayers who pay for native forest logging. Victoria’s taxpayer owned logging business lost $38M more than it made last year and was bailed out another $21.21M by taxpayers. Btw it’s NOT “forestry”. They bulldoze a forest then plant just ONE species #auspol#springst
@Pinklogik I have been LOVING this album. Had it on repeat yesterday - even spent a while figuring out how to play The Vision on my battered old acoustic. You should be so proud of this piece of art you created.
@Pinklogik Thanks pinklogik! High praise from you :)
By coincidence I spent yesterday afternoon WFH with your back catalogue on YouTube. (BIDE YOUR TIME was the instant fav)
@TimWilsonMP Remind me how our prime minister and deputy prime minister voted on this, after spending hundreds of millions to determine the will of the people?
@mc_dermott4@AdamBandt Education and health are the two top investments our government can make, by its own admission - if you care about things like living standards, improving economic participation or improving livelihoods.
All forms of education should be free and therefore accessible to everyone.
This was a great lockdown project. Musos picked names from a figurative hat and wrote collaborative new songs with people they had never, and still have never, met.
Very fun process, and I love all of the final songs. Proceeds go to a good cause too! :)

Dear Minister @LilyDAmbrosioMP , the Greater Glider is going to become extinct under YOUR watch. This will be your legacy.
You do not have to commit a single dollar to change this - just simply STOP logging our native forests.
Hey friends, the greater glider is on the brink of extinction and we're logging its last remaining habitats right now.
The only thing our govt has to do to change this is stop. its. own. logging. operations.
What do we do??

@MichaelsChas@VK2CSW@Peter_Fitz We have 2k ICU beds in the country, and in prepandemic times not far from fully utilised. Currently nearly 20% of these are consumed by covid, and numbers in all states climbing.
Are you really so reassured by nsw health projections?
@MichaelsChas@VK2CSW@Peter_Fitz Steady is not how I would characterise it?
I agree with you that ICU # is more meaningful than hospitalisation # w.r.t. disease severity, but hospitalisations is still an important metric, because positive patients create greater load on the hospital vs non-positive patients.
@jamesjansson@ZBasyouny@nick_coatsworth James may I enquire as to the source of that chart? I agree with you - this is the trend line currently of most interest.
