@theannelc @AmitaNVyas A7: By moving away from a "predator/perpetrator" narrative to one of "the act of perpetrating". These labels have been useful for activism in the past, but have stalled the progress of the narrative. Reporting someone for sexual assault doesn't mean "ruining their life".

@aswerls @AmitaNVyas A6: The current adjudication process requires that the reporter's social network be involved. Since sexual assault often occurs within this social network, friends take sides and there is a social risk of losing your support network. #SexualCitizens

@AmitaNVyas @GWpublichealth Another disparity to consider is sexual literacy. Those students coming to college who have received abstinence only education are at a severe disadvantage when navigating new sexual situations. Comprehensive, consent-based education must be the standard.
