@BradFree1@siliconvalcpa@jdp1073 Too bad, I was hopeful he might sneak into the Derby after that impressive Breeders Cup Juvenile. Not surprising though.
@DC_HC_Investor $171M market cap with $183M in cash, even as an acquihire they make sense if the results are bad, if the results are good upside is $1B min.
Derisked the pipeline and long term health by cutting off the 2 pipelines Pfizer was less interested in. Pfizer acquires for $3-4B I bet.
@jw8c@APompliano What time did Billy Strings come on yesterday? Going today for Sturgill and it says music starts at 4 PM, but not sure if there’s another opener or it’ll just end early.
How long did Dead & Company play?
@DevineGospel Voters should be absolutely ashamed, only won NL ROY because they were pitching him every 7 days 5-6 innings deep once his velocity tanked mid season…
@TooMuchMortons_ Sandridge has some nasty stuff and a better chance of contributing this year as a reliever
Och's ceiling is back of the rotation starter, which we have plenty of (Vasquez, Brito, Waldron)
I would rather carry more MLB-ready relief guys and use their options to have bullpen days
If Merrill missed the 1st mo., only played 80% of games (equivalent to 6-day rest instead of 5), and was defensively subbed out at the end of games, he wouldn't win ROY.
Skenes was 21% from qualifying. That's the equivalent of < 400 PA and < 100 games for a position player.
@c_s_b_9_4@KyleInSanDiego@RealCJ10 Soroka had 174 inn his rookie season. Strider pitched similar inn and didn't win ROY despite having a better season
All this, "Historical season," talk when Skenes didn't play anyone, hardly pitched, & 2 pitchers in the last 5 season had better rookie years and didn't win ROY
@c_s_b_9_4@KyleInSanDiego@RealCJ10 If Merrill wasn't doing it on 6 day rest and getting pulled after 80 pitches every game it should be him. He simply wasn't being asked to have a normal SP workload.
He also only played 1 playoff team in his last 9 games skipping starts against the SD and KC for extra rest.
