Washed-Up Athlete, 7 time husband of the year award winner & full time procrastinator. I apologize in advance; I don't actually care what you have to say.
@HBonHB@CarsonHayek@CrossSwordsPod Yes that’s Gretzky’s version of it. So either A owner needed the money or B Gretzky asked for the trade. Both scenarios are not a tram giving up on a young guy with several years if team control for futures.
@HBonHB@CarsonHayek@CrossSwordsPod I am not concerned trading for Bryam if I am Chicago. Soon to be UFA that wants an extension greater than Buffalo wants to pay. Make sense. Trading a 22 year old d man with 4 years of team control for future is concerning
@HBonHB@CarsonHayek@CrossSwordsPod Yes and No. Trading young players with years of team control is a red flag IMO. On some level the Ducks felt good moving on from him for a second round pick essentially. Doesn’t mean he won’t be good, just an interesting observation IMO.
@TheKaz1969@NHL_Watcher You understand that is a $14 million dollar gap between 7 @ $10 and 8 and $10.5. Again the report is close to $10 or right at it. At a minimum Buffalo was $14 million less.
@Browns_Watcher@RuiterWrongFAN Myles is 30 years old & has 5 years remaining at $200 million ($115 guaranteed) headed his way. I will bet good money you get more production at similar to less money out of Verse over the next 5 years. Years 1 and 2 Myles will win, but years 3-5 Verse will be the better player.
@Gorgeou5Gorges@MikeGrinnell_ If he was willing to take that he already would have. Offers in that price range have reportedly already been on the table. At this point you might as well go all the way and see what the actual market is. My guess is some team panics and he gets north of $10 on an AAV.
