@KenJeetzel@2666enjoyer@himbopresident the joke is the incongruence between the book and the contemporary romance cover. that’s the joke. if you don’t have an awareness of the content you won’t understand that it’s pgoat and orin on the cover but that doesn’t mean you’ve “badly misunderstood” the joke like OP means
@RiffRaf979@TPCarney@janecoaston and Jane hasn’t used any logical fallacies. crying logical fallacy when there isn’t one is my absolute pet peeve. (nobody start, I know which one he thinks she used)
@_lizharvey also I don’t know how efficacious it is for a red nose but Vaseline on the face + big ugly sunglasses is another winter running wind blocking classic
@AliceFromQueens@lxeagle17@gelliottmorris there’s only one author listed on linked article and it’s “Andrew.” The list of names is the beginning of the body of the article (hence “… Robinson write:”)
@zplerhop@offbeatorbit that’s definitely plausible. I just bristled at the idea that the professor got “baited” into giving the student the grade she objectively earned according to the rubric which imo is not bait whether or not she was trying to get that grade. but that’s just wording ultimately
@bigbeverageluvr@prettycritical assuming you’re shorter than the tall model that’s probably a difference in frame which again makes it at least a little helpful to know how tall the model is!
@srsjeff@MattZeitlin but let’s be real he’s just the princess bride guy for everyone except after seeing the tweet I guess maybe people younger than 20
@nataliesurely I knew she was psycho but I didn’t know she was this far off the deep end just in terms of, like, saying things that are just straightforwardly unacceptable in polite society
