I did it. I drove to the Amazon fulfillment center in Florence, NJ (ABE8). I brought all the documentation regarding our missing 8100 units. I explained the situation to the security guard and a team of 4 Amazonians came out to meet with me...
@vrexec You forgot to mention that some of us in this situation also bought a house in the NYC/Tristate before 2020. I can already hear my young kids telling me how easy we had it when they're adults.
Is anyone actually building new brands with Amazon ads anymore? Unless you have something totally unique, your search ad will appear next to someone from China who has more pricing power than you.
I help a brand that spends hundreds of thousands on TV ads every week. Amazon is a massive beneficiary of that traffic and order volume.
Despite this, Amazon shut down one of their top-selling listings this weekend with zero warning.
I cannot believe weโre headed into 2026 and we are STILL dealing with the same old Amazon. A business of this scale shouldn't be left in the dark over a holiday weekend
@vrexec Way off on the grandparents narrative. A millennial couple with kids in the NYC metro, who bought a home in the mid 2010s, can absolutely live comfortably on a $200K combined salary. Public schools are great and many kids go to top uni's from public. Hard to get started now tho
So now Iโm paying placement fees and thousands more in freight because the system selects the farthest FC in the region. I could stomach the placement fees if they'd help us cut down on our LTL/FTL costs. Brutal
The worst part about Amazonโs placement fees isnโt just the cost. Itโs that they donโt choose the closest FC from your warehouse for inbound shipments. Iโm in the Northeast, yet Amazon almost always sends our goods to Florida...
@ScottAdamsSays 9 year seller here. I've never seen an American company be so un-American. I'm sure there are other examples I'm not aware of but damn. They don't care about American small businesses whatsoever. Something has to be done.
@ShinghiD No. If someone gets hurt by ingesting the customer has no recourse. The company should be forced to have a presence in the US or Amazon needs to take liability.
@vrexec Comparing healthcare, taxes, and schools can be exhausting for me personally. I just really enjoy life in the Tri-State. We elder millennials lucked out with home prices and market returns. Nothing but respect for your situation. Seems awesome!
@vrexec Iโve seen kids from privileged families in private schools struggle just as much with college admissions as public school kids. Tristate residents are thriving. Iโm more concerned for those who left and now want back in.
@vrexec Weโve built strong communities and friendships in our suburban towns, and many have advanced their career while reclaiming time. The public vs. private school debate isnโt what it once was.
Amazon seller friends, I need your help once again. Brand Registry and Seller Support refuse to help protect our IP. So, I need help from the seller community.
In this case, itโs our GS1 Barcodes. We wholesale our products to retailers around the country.
and paid tens of millions in Amazon fees. Iโve opened cases with seller support and brand registry, been on the phone with countless Amazon employees. Nobody helps. I just get the same answer.
