A few weeks ago I spent a week@in@hospital with my son who has T1... we reluctantly sought treatment and so glad we did. Health care professionals taking lots of precautions

@CMO_England My son was extremely ill last week - he was admitted last Saturday to Bedford hospital and has now had a diagnosis of Addison’s disease and treatment plan. If he’d not gone in to hospital he may not be alive today. Please continue with strong message seeking medical treatment

@MrsPTweeting Kirsty we have this every year. I try to explain that it’s a wasted appointment- I’d much rather someone else has the slot but still I have to attend with my son and confirm his T1 diabetes hasn’t miraculously be cured!

On the rare occasions we see our GP, why does he insist on asking if my son’s diabetes is controlled?
By ‘Controlled’ does he mean - do we work hard 24/7 to keep bloods in range as much as possible - then yes.... but we dont get ‘control’ without constant work.#type1
