@TomMarsLaw Tom, I’d really appreciate it if you could explain to me why college athletics fall under the purview of Congress. Nobody seems to want to address the elephant in the room on this. This is not a federal issue. The NCAA is not a federal entity. Please, educate me why this is OK.
@RonMexicoJunior@11W Disagree on the innovative part. He had freaks in Pittsburgh. I tend to see more of the same from his recent performance. Great guy. Would love to have a beer with him. But to put his philosophy in charge of some of the best athletes in college football to me is a mistake.
@heitner@JayBilas This feels like Congress getting involved as though college sports impacts the economy in the same as the banking industry. Banking, I think we all get. Regulating who can transfer and when in college sports, I’m not seeing it.
@wsyx6 Outstanding work guys. Next you should investigate the question of whether Santa Claus is real because someone needs to blow the lid off that shit.
@BradOnMessage Don’t disagree with the concept at all. However, it would have required the government to actually come up with the money so it could be invested. The money in the fund doesn’t exist anywhere but on paper in the government books. Wall Street would require actual funds.
@EGreenyyy@Aportzline Agree with you. But I’d disagree with you on this. It’s not embarrassing, it’s expected. This is what we get year in and year out. Play meh hockey most of the season, never separate from the pack. Play well enough to give fans hope near the end. Then collapse. Rinse. Repeat.
@hotairblog This doesn’t sound like a “justice system” problem, it’s a Minn problem. The people of Minn choose to live this way by their votes. There are plenty of states that aren’t like this. Your fate is in your own hands.
@martycallahan51 As a fan, it would be great if these guys made the playoffs. But these dudes don’t have what it takes. They’d be cannon fodder for whoever they end up playing. Pun intended.
@AusFfm4@JonathanTurley Your reply is cute, but I’m pretty sure he’s considered highly distinguished in his mastery of law. You can disagree with his opinions and that’s fair. But to say he “sucks” is a really bad take. Be better man. Hit and run is not a response. It’s admitting you can’t compete.
@reason This practice only invites district shopping. R or D opposition simply files in friendly districts to get the desired outcome, which then applies to the entire country. Be careful what you wish for. You’re courting chaos. But maybe that’s Reason’s goal?
