My cat. The saddest thing that I did this year was let it go. For its own good.
I raised it myself ever since it was born. I can't ever forget it. Letting it go broke me in half. I sometimes still imagine it sitting in a corner or somewhere. Good, I miss it dearly.
Vietnam 4-2 Pakistan
Pakistan's FIFA ASEAN Cup campaign ends and I think the team gave us more than most expected.
Ranked 198th, Pakistan faced Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam, all higher ranked & stronger opponents.
Thailand showed us the gap. But coming from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 with Philippines, and then scoring twice against 99th ranked Vietnam! that’s something to appreciate.
One point, four goals and plenty of fight in Pakistan’s first FIFA tournament.
A long way to go, but also plenty to build on. Proud of the boys.

FT: Vietnam 4-2 Pakistan
None of us thought we'd get a single point, let alone score against stronger nations in the #FIFAASEANCup. Thailand showed. But being 2-0 down to draw Philippines then lead for a half against Vietnam? Proud of the lads!

Great win for our volleyball team against India in quarter final of Asian Games. All 3 sets won by Pak, thoroughly dominated the game. Our volleyball team needs to get more attention from public.
Karbala was not a defeat.
This must be understood. Without understanding this, you cannot understand anything about why Iran fights the way it fights, with the commitment it has, in the face of what it faces.
In 680 CE, Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet, took a small group of seventy-two companions and family members to stand against the army of Yazid at a plain called Karbala. He knew he was going to lose. He knew most of them would die. His companions knew it too. He gave them every opportunity to leave. Some did. Most stayed.
They fought. They fell. Hussein was killed. His head was taken. The women and children were taken prisoner.
By every conventional measure: a defeat. A massacre.
And that defeat has been burning in the hearts of hundreds of millions of people for nearly fourteen hundred years.
Not as a wound to be avenged and then forgotten. As a permanent reference point. As the axis around which a certain understanding of justice and resistance and the willingness to stand for truth regardless of the odds has organized itself for fourteen centuries.
When an Iranian soldier goes to war, he understands himself in relation to Karbala. When an Iranian martyr falls, he understands his fall in relation to Karbala. When the movement suffers losses, it understands those losses in relation to Karbala.
The defeat at Karbala became the spiritual engine of a resistance tradition that has not stopped running since.
The empire has no historical reference point that functions like this. It has no equivalent depth of motivational infrastructure. It has soldiers who are paid and trained and equipped.
Iran has soldiers who believe. These are not the same thing.
Karachiites were more than satisfied with CDGK. No one wanted a separate province. It wouldn't even be a discussion today if PPP hadn't gotten greedy in late 2000s and destroyed CDGK in order to hand over Karachi administration to their literal pet dakaits from Larkana and Daddu.
as someone who's lived in all 3 major cities of Pakistan, I've concluded that no one hates Karachiites more than PPP. and the moment you criticise, their paid media spokesperson, rush to defend in the worst possible way. atp it genuinely feels like gaslighting.
To celebrate 🇵🇰 isn't to celebrate the Government or where we stand, but to assert that this country is mine, and I don't need anyone's approval of my patriotism.
Your yearly reminder that today isn’t a military day.
The Pakistan army didn’t fight a war to win independence in 1947.
The day is about revolutionaries, you, me, our families that struggled and made it to Pakistan, and families that welcomed people to Pakistan.
Karachi is my root. will stand in support w whoever (regrdless of ethnicity) leads a crusade against its destroyers. My loyalty lies w my city, urs w its oppressors. Do not sit out of the city & lecture us on how it should be run, the boundaries in ur head are not mine to respect
Israeli support to India in May 2025, and Turkish support to Pakistan, is no secret.
More importantly, Pakistan–Türkiye strategic collaboration is far more concrete, mutual and tangible than Pakistan’s arrangement with the Saudis, which remains largely one-way and stop-gap in nature.
Pakistan and Türkiye also broadly converge in their approach towards both Israel and Iran.
That makes it difficult to view this emerging collective as inherently anti-Iran or pro-Israel, even if Riyadh wishes to steer it in that direction.
Both Islamabad and Ankara would rather see Iran integrated and contained within a regional security architecture than “challenged” in a manner that reinforces US domination of the region.
Very, very interesting times and this Defence Pact may give us hints of the upcoming regional order.
The only funny thing is how every Israeli move against any other player, be it counter-balancing Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or others, is just brushed under the rug of 'media war'. The claim that Turkiye and others agreed to or are working with Israelis against Iran is so ridiculous.
Turkiye literally foiled the Mossad invasion plan when it threatened to intervene in favour of Iran against the Kurds, as it was meant to disrupt the whole regional security and balance of power. Araghchi literally confirmed this in his latest interview. Trump several times referred to it as 'Türkiye on the verge of joining the war against Israel'.
From which regional countries did Iran receive 'intel' about incoming attacks during the previous war?
There are dozens of such instances (many are not reported due to security sensitivities) where the regional countries actively assisted Iran on diplomatic, security and political levels. Since all of this does not fit the political rhetoric of 'sole anti-imperialist warrior' so, it leads to creating an alternative reality where every state is a vassal, puppet or insubordinate and is actively working to topple the regime in Iran.
Even though many regional players are actively working at different levels to confront the Israeli regional design at different levels and in different domains, as you described, the Israeli goal is the destruction of every independent power centre; I wonder if it can be achieved by building a narrative of 'collaborators' against each one of them and destroying them through sub-conventional means.
@prudenceresist That was the plan in 2022 as well when they were uprooting the green belt on university road. The mayor, then administrator, said these trees will be replanted at Aladdin Park and that area will be converted into an urban forest. I don't buy anything the PPP sells.

There are three actions for which no one has an excuse [to ignore]: returning a trust to both the pious and the immoral; fulfillment of a promise to both the pious and the immoral; and goodness to one’s parents, whether they be pious or immoral.

It took almost an hour in line to see the final resting place of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Shaheed.
Does anybody even believe what western media report regarding Iran anymore? Apparently all these people are also AI.
