This incredible approach into Heathrow today gave me a greater appreciation for my three hour delay. Low and dense freezing fog making mischief with the schedules 🥶
@thatjohn At the risk of breaking their shiny new toy but in the interests of journalistic research I've just given it a try. Verdict: some bend but not nearly as much as the AIX example. 😅
@JamcoAmerica@KLM I'm travelling as a guest of KLM today to test the new product but all views remain my own and no content has been pre-approved or agreed. If you'd like to track the flight we're on PH-BVA, the special Orange Pride livery aircraft.
Exclusive: Here's a first look at KLM's brand-new business class seat on the 777-300. It's a modified Jamco Venture platform and an evolution of the product found on the 787-10. #klm
@JamcoAmerica Two other nuggets of @KLM passenger feedback pictured here: a sunken drink holder (reduced spills/movement during turbulence) and power points in front of seat, not buried away behind your ear. Subtle changes but great #paxex evolution.
@BernieBaldwin@Brabazon2 Huge congratulations Bernie - a pleasure to work with you on this. You were sorely missed but were given a rapturous applause. 👏🏼
Making an early exit from @IATA tomorrow night to join @aix_expo on Tuesday. I’ll be moderating a panel discussion at 2pm in the CabinSpace Live theatre for @inflightmag. Join us if you can. ✈️
Good morning from Schiphol! On my way to Istanbul for the @IATA AGM. Excellent security experience (through in <3 min) let down by subsequent 20 min queue for passport control, even for e-gates. Slightly patchy performance but huge improvement on last summer! #iataagm#paxex
Super sloppy from @British_Airways this evening 👎🏻 150+ pax waiting at LHR on BA1318 (now over an hour late) but despite three agents in position, not a single tannoy announcement to update or apology for the delay. Occasional courtesy message would be a very easy #paxex win.
@HeathrowAirport This data is good, but useless if buried deep within your website. Screens work well across the airport estate to inform passengers, i’d suggest their installation (at a modest cost) near the security area would be a win-win for all involved.
The creeping realisation 20 minutes into the ‘Fast Track’ security queue @HeathrowAirport T3 that the regular line is moving significantly faster. Time for some T5 style real-time data to help make informed decisions? #paxex
Fun role reversal today in Valencia. Ryanair pax swan from terminal to aircraft via a jet-bridge 💃🏻, while @British_Airways pax are left to stand on the stairs for 20 minutes as a single bus shuttles back and forth to the remote stand 😒
It might feel small fry, but if this trend is compounded, then Twitter and by definition the wider social media #paxex on this platform is in serious trouble.
