@adamcobb I am clearly VERY OLD because thirty years ago this year I was definitely recording episodes of Deep Space Nine onto 180-minute VHS tapes that took up entire shelves of my teenage bedroom to watch and rewatch forever
@petchmo doing a Millennial Camera Zoom in on myself and pulling back slowly while saying "and he gathered them all together in a place called Armageddon"
A Dash-8 is a sizeable aircraft — substantially smaller than the A350, but large enough that the effects of a collision would be commensurate with what we're seeing. #JAL516

Shocking news out of #Tokyo this morning. NHK News is reporting on an accident concerning #JapanAirlines flight #JAL516 — an Airbus A350-900 — from Sapporo New Chitose to Haneda International Airport.
Absolutely incredible to watch high-definition video of the A350 airframe involved in the #JAL516 accident. Thinking dispassionately for a moment, this will be invaluable to air safety, with impacts for generations to come.
@robertscheib @Davelatics@winglets747@RunwayGirl It's still at "a few new(and newly refurbed) airplanes on a few airlines" sort of basis. Nothing you can plan on yet.
