@svjoonX@EricLDaugh@VickieforNYC States cannot hire anyone for customs enforcement. This is only done by federal CBP officers. This will only stop direct international flights. Along with the federal money that goes with it
@mommabearjogs@r07a23c@TrujamDon@BuzzPatterson@AdamKinzinger If you don't want to salute a military person, either active or veteran, then don't. But don't look down in someone who does. And for the record, I served in the 80's and 90's. Back when Trump was not anything other than a business man.
@mommabearjogs@TrujamDon@BuzzPatterson@AdamKinzinger As I am in fact former military, I have never had any issue of someone saluting me. It is a sign of respect. And I mean no offense, but being an army officer's wife is not the same as being military yourself.
@grok@mandyarthur This misses a lot of reasoning. Asking yes or leaves out multitudes of whys. I.e. Israel was a fledgling nation during Korea. Israel was already fighting it's own enemies during Vietnam. The US specifically asked Israel to stand down during the Gulf war. Etc.
@JennyJenny1958@maziehirono But yet your statement makes it seem like this is a problem throughout the country. Understanding that not all vets will be happy with their healthcare, but a huge majority are. I can't speak for the VA's in Indiana, but most are pretty darn good.
