@TJMartinell1 Vader is almost a different character in ESB. In ANH, he’s an enforcer, a henchman. Basically Star Wars’ equivalent of Oddjob or Jaws from 007
@ThePizzaMuncher @W1llHerman@davidrc_5 did you even read the link? that’s the name of the league founded in England, the ones who invented the sport. You can pretend not to understand, but that doesn’t change the fact that rugby is one of many football codes
@TomM251385@ClementSWWan I'm not sure what chart you're looking at. This one shows the top 1% pay 24.1% of total tax, while total income share is only 20.9%. Similar for next 4% and next 15%, while poorest 20% pay only 2% of total tax, while earning 2.8% of total income. And btw, you did say "tax rate"
@richjmadrid_ really? you can't understand why the quarterback with better stats pretty much in every category, over several years, might be considered by some to be better? FWIW, I think Love is underrated, and you can make a case that he's better than Brock, but it's not a given
@ArtemisConsort do the same experiment with aluminum and steel balls. Unless you are dropping from 100+ feet, you won't be able to see a difference without special equipment. I don't the Aristotelian framework would account for this. It would predict the steel ball falling much faster.
@ArtemisConsort I think you're overstating your case a bit. It is not a good analogy to think of Aristotelian physics as a sort of limiting case of Newtonian physics the same way Newtonian is a limiting case of GR. And expanding on your bowling ball/foam ball experiment...
@faraz_r_khan my family went through this a few years ago, spent thousands of dollars on testing, remediation, and ultimately still ended up moving to a brand new build. And finally saw the big health improvements. So my advice is to just move now if possible.
@Dutch_Agent this is really not the reason. The mormon church was founded in early 19th c. America, when there was a lot of anti-catholic sentiment among americans. Those ideas linger to this day, although the mormon church has downplayed it significantly recently.
@uubzu@furiouswhopper You are wrong. I am a native english speaker, and I am sure my IQ is higher than yours. The question is absolutely ambiguous and ooorly written. The AI’s explanation is wrong.
NHL rule changes I want to see:
- If a powerplay starts when the period starts, that face-off should be in the offensive zone
- Jailbreak rule. Shorthanded goal ends the PP
- If a team scores on a delayed penalty, they still get the powerplay
- 3rd period or overtime cannot end on a PP if the team on the man advantage is trailing or the game is tied
- Icing called when a team passes or skates the puck back across the red line in 3-on-3 overtime
- When a bench minor is called, the opposing coach gets to choose who serves the penalty
- Icing still called when shorthanded, unless you reach the blue line first
- Either count all goals off the skate or count none of them. Remove the arbitrary element of the kicking-motion rule.
@sickbillygoat_6@TheFFRealist waste of who's time? If 49ers don't end up getting anything in return, it's still in their interest to prevent him from joining another team as long as possible, especially if that team is one we play this year and might see in the playoffs? Zero reason to release him any earlier
