Watch time follows curiosity. Open a question in the first shot, answer it in the last, keep every middle shot pulling toward the answer. That is the entire theory of short form.
1. Start with the Story Before you press the shutter or hit record, ask yourself: "What story am I trying to tell?" Your camera should communicate a message, not just capture a scene.
I've been thinking a lot about why shooting film feels different.
I think part of it is the investment.
Before I even press the shutter, I've already paid for the film.
Then I'll pay again to have it developed.
Every frame is an investment.
Because of that... I don't rush.
I look a little longer.
I wait for the right moment.
When the scans finally come back... they don't just feel like photos.
They feel like something I invested in.
That's one of the best things about film photography.
The things we invest in... often become the things we value most.
Listened to the Shane Smith interview of Ken Burns and KB said, "The passage of time permits a perspective that the moment is never going to afford you" and that describes the main reason I take photos, just to look back and better understand
The best way to communicate with the world is directly in your own words, not through the reality distortion nightmare mirror that is the legacy mainstream press
“When the book of love is written, I am the writer and by the last page, you will not be mentioned. It’s not because you never loved me, it’s just because you lost your faith.”https://t.co/P77bDpr0vq
You didn't lose someone who loved you.
You lost someone who couldn't stay when love required depth. Avoidant discards don't end because you asked for too much they end because you asked for consistency, reassurance, and emotional presence and to someone afraid of closeness that feels like pressure instead of connection.
You weren't hard to love.
You were hard to avoid.
And they chose distance not because you lacked value but because you required vulnerability. One day you'll realize:
the discard wasn't your rejection,it was their limitation.
Light moves and the body is seen
Light holds the body’s release
When completely seen
self-expression no longer overwhelms
Breath moves blood past the bind
The years appear, silver linings
Thought rides swiftly through Kaliyuga
Just one comma, a sliver of recognition
Har har…
Three dots follow
