@JBSDC That seems to require taking the technology less seriously than the people making it do.
And if job switching means that the entire educated professional class are just supposed to become subservient experience providers to the capital owners of the AI companies, sounds bad!
@JBSDC If you build God in a Box, +3% GDP gains along with enormous social turmoil and a high fraction of the labor force unemployed is just not going to be something you can solve without state takeover
@JBSDC Yes, as I said, your proposal seems like trickle down economics+a standard approach to taxing income. I donโt think thatโs good enough, nor is giving a minority stake to the government, if this technology actually does what proponents say it will.
@JBSDC Why isnโt this just trickle down economics with a tacked-on promise that there will be income tax revenue? I donโt feel very good about having my job automated and I really donโt care that Anthropic equity holders will do well out of that arrangement
@AlexanderMcCoy4 Given that Scottish generals conquered India, Scots administered Burma, the Black and Tans came from Scotland, etc etc, Scotland just canโt (and most donโt) separate itself from all that is good and bad about the UK.
@AlexanderMcCoy4 I donโt think most SNP members are as concerned about that as they are with the idea of Scotland being more progressive outside the UK. Scotland is obviously incredibly and voluntarily complicit in the empire as any trip to Glasgow will make apparent.
@ImNotOwned 2007 wasnโt that bad. Spurs had like three guys on him at all times and the roster included luminaries like Sasha Pavlovic and boobie Gibson (actual nickname)
