Don’t ever stay at @stregishotels Deer Valley my friends. A bug in their reservation system created a duplicate reservation that i did not know about. Four days after the cancellation window they charged my credit card the full amount and refuse to remove the charge. Didn’t even offer a credit. All communications with them have been the same: tell me to pound sand. Unbelievable.

I made a reservation to stay at st Regis deer valley for Jan 19-22, 2026. Because of heart issues, I can’t travel for the next few months. I cancelled the reservation on Dec 2 a few days before the 45 day cancellation period for no penalty. I received an email stating cancellation occurred and no charge would happen. Then a week later dec 9 I get an email stating that since I did not cancel, they would be charging my credit card the full amount $5896.86. I called them up to say it was a mistake and they told me I had two identical reservations and I only cancelled one of them. I did not make a second reservation. I have no idea how that happened must be a glitch in st Regis systems because I didn’t do it. For sure. They said they would get to me and they never did. I called again a week later. And same thing they said they would get back to me and never did. I called again today and they said they would get back to me and actually did. Said I should have known I had two reservations and since I did not talk to them until Dec 9 after the Dec 5 cancellation date, they could not refund me. Wow. Unbelievable. The double booking was probably at Regis glitch, clearly I didn’t want a second reservation, and even if I did it was four days late. I refuse to believe that a luxury resort such as the St Regis would treat their customers like this! I’m speechless. Joyce Calder is the in house reservation agent at St Regis who handled this.

Well done. You need to teach other democrat mayors to do this. For some reason dems think safety is bad and police are bad. Please talk to Mayor Wu of Boston as she is doing everything she can to replicate SF of old and ruin Boston. You have made a huge difference in SF and just shows leadership matters.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Legacy non-cloud vendors won’t come back. Recession will even further crash spend in on prem data centers. Accelerate movement to cloud even more.
