@KatKonnect@MikeTriceratops I don't agree with the dude, but Tolkien based middle earth and its stories off of the bible, he’s quoted saying so many many times. Not as blatant as C.S Lewis with Narnia, but LOTR is very much based off Christianity
@CT_McGuire@pvancleaf@Awk20000 There is 100% not a check box for the game awards. Geoff knows AI is unavoidable and doesn't change the quality of a game if used correctly. A majority of the nominees at TGA used AI during development in some form
@DanielVavra@leooon@LarAtLarian No 100%. AI art in final products will never have my support. I'm just saying any AI tools. All those projects used it in some capacity. Every use by those games was for efficiency or Inspiration. We even used the early iterations on Fortnite years ago to test ideas, NEVER final
@leooon@DanielVavra@LarAtLarian ARC Raiders sold very well. E33 won GOTY. BG3 Is praised as one of the best games made. KCD2 pushed forward realism in gaming. All of these use AI in some form and have had no impact on sales or quality. Reality is the people who "care" just don't matter as much as they think.
@Salambard@mickal@DiscussingFilm Why do you people call everything AI now. These were made and edited by an artist without any AI usage. You care about AI but won't support things made by actual artists.
@TheeMockingjqy@QingTheCreator_@DiscussingFilm It's literally the concept artists at Larian using this GenAI. Scrolling through google or using GenAI for inspiration has the exact same effect. Every single artist takes inspiration from various places. It is stealing 0 jobs.
@Zephyrgold58@feli34746@kalaelizabeth What is the difference between getting inspiration from google, or getting inspiration from AI that uses that same art to make a more concise inspiration, faster. Every single artist uses inspiration, now it just happens to be more pinpoint.
