As a retired IPS officer, I am utterly disgusted and appalled by this news report. Demanding ₹25 lakhs or sexual favors from a wife to release her husband is the darkest stain on the Khaki uniform. What is even more shocking is the Inspector's brazen claim that he paid ₹50 Lakhs to the Home Minister for his posting. This openly exposes the deeply rooted corruption and the sinister 'Transfer Mafia' within the system.

Filing fake cases and threatening to open a rowdy sheet against a social worker just because he tried to help other harassed women is a gross abuse of police power. The fact that previous complaints to the Commissioner were completely ignored highlights a massive failure of the higher authorities.

Hon'ble CM @siddaramaiah, Home Minister @DrParameshwara, @DgpKarnataka, and @compolmlr must take immediate and ruthless action. An officer who uses the Home Minister's name to extort money and sexually harass women must be suspended immediately, booked under criminal charges, and the case must be handed over for a high-level probe (CID or SIT). It is a tragedy for democracy when the administrative machinery stoops to such horrifying depths. The culprit must face the harshest punishment!

ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತನಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ನೊಂದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಕೇಸ್ ಹಾಕಿ, ರೌಡಿ ಶೀಟ್ ತೆರೆಯುವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿರುವುದು ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಅತಿರೇಕ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಮಿಷನರ್‌ಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವುದು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ವೈಫಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ @siddaramaiah, ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರಾದ @DrParameshwara ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮಹಾನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ @DgpKarnataka ಮತ್ತು @compolmlr ಅವರು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹೋಮ್ ಮಿನಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಹೆಸರೇಳಿ ಹಣ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಅಮಾನತು ಮಾಡಿ, ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ ಕೇಸ್ ದಾಖಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತ ತನಿಖೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಿಐಡಿ (CID) ಅಥವಾ ಎಸ್‌ಐಟಿ (SIT) ಗೆ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥನಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಲೇಬೇಕು!
