This might become one of the biggest catastrophes the NFT space has seen in years.

Right when the narrative was finally reviving… right when pioneer projects were starting to regain real attention… this happens.

I’ve been in love with the @flow_blockchain since my very first NFTs. Its speed, its true focus on collecting, and the strength of its communities always fascinated me. @flowty_io wasn’t just a marketplace — it was the last real bastion of collecting on Flow. The only place where you could actually trade, lend, rent, and feel safe doing it.

@roham , you’ve said countless times that @NBATopShot is a collecting product built to last over 100 years. How can we let the only real marketplace that made that possible disappear?

We’ve already watched so many projects die on Flow. Now we’re losing the very pillar that kept the rest alive.

If Flowty shuts down, it’s like burying the Mona Lisa two meters underground in a concrete coffin.

Flow projects and collectors: raise your voice.

We have some of the best developers in the entire ecosystem. This chain was born to solve Ethereum’s problems… we cannot turn our backs now.

We either support Flowty, demand a real solution from Dapper and Flow, or seriously consider migrating to ETH or building a decentralized vault with synthetic replicas.

What a damn shame.

Flowty… where do I even begin? From sub-1 listings, bulk listing, rentals, and especially Flowty Loans — the services you built were unmatched in the space.

I was late to Top Shot, but I found my footing with Flowty. I became known for doing Flowty loans and truly believed this was going to be one of the biggest game-changers in NFTs.

Where else can you borrow money using your Scottie Barnes jersey match as collateral? 🤔

A bunch of thoughts, experiences and observations about money:

1) my biggest mistakes early were keeping too much in cash

2) my biggest mistakes later were doing too many private deals

3) S&P 500 and Bitcoin are hard to beat over time

4) in bull markets, all you gotta do is show up to grow your stack… don’t over-complicate things by getting too cute or greedy.

5) lifestyle creep is real: as you make more you spend more. The number always rises.

6) when you get a big win, donate some quickly to something you care about. Within weeks or months you’ll get used to the number and not want to give it up

7) every deal looks incredible until the minute you send the check. Every person raising money has 100% confidence in the investment until the minute your check clears.

8) my first job out of college, I was super-pumped with my annual bonus, until I saw the guy next to me got more. Some people never outgrow that misery-making mindset.

9) always stay humble and appreciate how much luck is involved in every win. Even the ones you work hard for.

10) Equity creates real wealth. Salary maintains it. Investing grows it.

11) flexing wealth is almost always a sign of insecurity. Unless it’s an alien, ape or zombie punk… that’s legit.
