Zach Bryan’s support for Palestinian resistance seems to confirm it: he and his band have quietly emerged as the most prominent critics of US imperialism in the music industry.
Their stance adds new weight to guitarist Noah Le Gros’ decision last month to honor Pat Tillman — the NFL star who enlisted after 9/11 but was killed by his own men after he began criticizing the “illegal” Iraq war, which he declared “imperial folly.”
On April 22, 2004, Tillman’s platoon was on a search-and-cordon mission in Afghanistan’s Khost province when US forces behind him began unloading at Tillman’s position.
His last words were: "Cease fire, friendlies, I am Pat fucking Tillman, damn it!"
He was then hit in the forehead with 3 tightly-grouped shots by a member of his own unit, from what pathologists later determined was a distance of 10 yards.
Blatantly violating military procedures, his bloody uniform and all personal belongings were burned — including the diary where he’d begun openly questioning the morality of the US occupation. The official narrative claimed the items represented a “biohazard.”
Members of his unit were also ordered to remain silent about the highly suspicious circumstances of his death.
Army medical examiners, who submitted a written demand insisting on a Criminal Investigation Division probe into whether his death constituted homicide, were shut down by top military brass.
In public, the military lauded Tillman as a war hero, claiming that he’d been cut down by the Taliban while charging up a hill to protect his platoon.
The story was entirely fictitious. Behind closed doors, the Army found there was no evidence of enemy fire directed at Tillman or anyone near his position.
On April 29, one week after Tillman’s killing, Gen. Stanley McCrystal sent the infamous “P4 memo” to the head of CENTCOM, stating that it was “highly possible” Tillman was killed by his own unit and insisting President Bush be informed.
The next day, the Pentagon posthumously issued Tillman a Silver Star, lying in a statement that he had “put himself in the line of devastating enemy fire” when he was killed. The citation was produced before a single member of his unit was interviewed.
A day after that, Bush continued the ruse, claiming to honor Tillman in a televised speech omitting any mention of the true circumstances of his death.
For Tillman’s family, the timing was not a coincidence. On April 28, horrific photos were revealed showing the US military and CIA had been secretly torturing detainees at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
Tillman’s brother Kevin, who served in the same unit, later wrote: “Crucial evidence was destroyed, including Pat's uniform, equipment and notebook. The autopsy was not done according to regulation and the field hospital report was falsified.”
“An initial investigation completed with eight to 10 days before testimony could be changed or manipulated, and which hit disturbingly close to the mark, disappeared into thin air and was conveniently replaced by another investigation with more palatable findings.”
The real investigation was replaced by an extraordinarily deceptive report concealing the truth about Tillman’s killing.
Per Tillman’s brother, “This freshly manufactured narrative was then distributed to the American public. And we believe the strategy had the intended effect: It shifted the focus from the grotesque torture at Abu Ghraib and a downward spiral of an illegal act of aggression to a great American who died a hero's death.”
At the time of his killing, he was planning to meet with Noam Chomsky upon his return to the US.
Instead of admitting the Army’s biggest star was gunned down at near point blank range by his own unit after correctly diagnosing the war as an imperialist occupation, his killing was weaponized manufacture consent for the invasion and to recruit more young Americans into the war machine.
Thanks to Zach and his band, the next generation is learning the real story.
Every single cell of my body is horrified by this.
The baby is like a puppy or a doll to him.
There is no evidence of oxytocin making him want to nurture this baby.
You know why?
Because oxytocin when secreted in males brings forth a playful instinct not a nurturing instinct as with mothers.
Fathers are not mothers and never will be or can be. Being gay doesn’t change that. Being trans doesn’t change that.
The male body interacts differently with oxytocin.
This is damage in real time.

Tonight at Gillette Stadium, Zach Bryan, one of the biggest country music artists in the world, wore a Free Palestine shirt onstage.
Gillette Stadium is owned by Robert Kraft, who pushed Ed Sheeran and his promoter to drop Macklemore from his tour.
Bryan isn’t just a major country artist.
He is one of the biggest live draws in music, filling stadiums across the United States and in major cities around the world.
Bryan served eight years on active duty in the US Navy and served overseas in Bahrain and Djibouti.
Members of Bryan’s band also wore shirts supporting the Palestinian cause, including his drummer, who wore a jersey honoring the memory of Hind Rajab.
Zach Bryan has a second show at Gillette Stadium tomorrow, Saturday night.
I did an article on this a few weeks ago, about how rapid population growth driven by immigration is deepening the housing crisis, and got accused of being anti-immigrant by some of our loony left?
David McWilliams is re-posting this stuff, it’s really basic
Irelands population growth is at insane levels, during a massive housing crisis
We are growing at about 1.7% average annually the last 5 years, against an EU average of about .24%.
Ireland is 7 times the average.
The next fastest growing comparable are Spain and Portugal, at half our rate.
In the 20th century, our growth in the second half of the century was over .7%, considered rapid and Europe leading.
We have gone into unsustainable overdrive. Grand if housing and services were keeping pace but they aren’t remotely.
Based on the current 36k completions a year, it would take Ireland about 15 years to clear the estimated backlog of required housing stock. Meaning another generation are locked out of housing
That isn’t remotely the immigrants fault. The immigrant is welcome.
The problem is government policy that deprives many of housing.
Increase house completions rapidly.
Introduce temporary restrictions on non-resident/investor purchases of existing homes, like New Zealand, Canada, within EU law (Denmark).
Align immigration with labour market needs.
End and replace a flawed refugee system.
The August 2026 YouGov poll saw 69% of British people says immigration was too high (much 47%, a little 22%).
43% said it was ‘mostly bad’ for Britain.
Just 21% said ‘mostly good’? Shocking, worrying stats.
We can’t assume Irish exceptionalism
Gender care - or gender harm? 👀
🎙️ Detransitioner Michael Kerr speaks out about his alarming experience at a gender clinic. Hear Michael’s story to decide for yourself.
This interview forces a rethink of gender clinics, the “affirmative” model, gender ideology in classrooms - and should stop the Bill to Ban Conversion Therapy in its tracks.
@caulmick@SimonHarrisTD@Toibin1 It's hasnt been a priority of any government probably since the days of Lemass, when we still had leaders who had actually gone through hardship to be given the opportunity to lead. Those days are long gone, most dont even know, or care, how we achieved our independence.
The account 'Leeds United Ireland @leeds2023456 which I believe was the first to post the video containing the racist abuse of Adam Idah has been suspended by X. All perfectly normal.
@TheAkoFiles I love your work Seán so it does hurt to see such divisive language but you're young & full on energy & enthusiasm & I can't fault you for that. Maybe you'll reflect this whole debacle & "the other side" in the years to come. Anyway, regardless, keep up the great work. 🫡 Cheers.
Disgusting from the few Israel supporters at the Ireland game making monkey chants at Adam Idah pack of animals they are #irelandisrael#fai#nationsleague
@NiallMcConnell5 Also, there amis a similar % of extra workers in the healthcare system as there are extra people in the country so it's just like for like really, if there were less extra.... The need for the bigger health service would be reduced accordingly.
Forget the players being in a "difficult position." The morally bankrupt FAI gifted them the privilege of potentially doing something vaguely brave. Only Gavin Bazunu understood it. The rest? They took the soup, pure and simple
