@VaibhavSisinty Such make-believe bs ad for creating a space-junk universe that will just “radiate” it heat at costs ne can hardly imagine, with a life-usage of maybe three years. Space junk extraordinaire.

This story about 49,000 California residents being abandoned by their energy utility so that it can power AI data centers is a stark reminder that people are now competing with tech companies for basic resources. It needs to stop. https://t.co/hnKPEm3Vla

Big Oil's new playbook, per a Grist investigation of 1,800+ ads and press releases from BP, Shell, Exxon, and Chevron:

𖢥 Did you know the U.S. government allegedly dropped lab-designed ticks carrying Lyme disease into Cuba during a secret operation?
“What has been alleged is that the military, working with the CIA, released 282,800 radioactive ticks as well as ticks carrying Lyme disease.”
“One operative… said the strangest thing he ever did was drop infected ticks on Cuban sugarcane workers.”
“His CIA commander advised him to ‘burn all the clothes you took to Cuba, burn everything,’ out of concern for possible contamination.”

CALIFORNIANS:
California is spraying its forests with carcinogenic glyphosate, the fastest growing market for glyphosate in the state.
The US Forest service used a 2000 study showing that glyphosate doesn't pose a health risk. However, that study was retracted in 2025 over secret authorship by Monsanto employees.
Tahoe is targeted to spray 75,000 pristine acres which will not only harm the forests, but Lake Tahoe as well with runoff.
Lassen is next, scheduled to received up to 8 lbs of glyphosate per acre.
The Forest Service prefers spraying over workers due to a cost savings.
Last year, Newsom signed an emergency EO that allowed Cal Fire to skip over normal safety protocols when they spray the chemical. Their justification is based on Cal Fire's 2015 safety report based on the same corrupt Monsanto studies.
Monsanto/Bayer has already paid 12 billion in lawsuits.

EXCLUSIVE: @AOC calls for a congressional investigation into the impact of data centers.
We took her to meet residents in a Trump +50 county in Georgia whose well water was polluted by Meta’s massive data center.
“That absolutely merits...national congressional investigation."
The pork industry lost with voters. Lost at the Supreme Court. So they turned to Congress—and got the "Save Our Bacon" Act buried in the House Farm Bill. It's the biggest rollback of animal welfare protections in U.S. history. A thread. 🧵
Trump officials are exempting oil and gas companies from wildlife protections to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. While Trump falsely blames offshore wind for harming marine life, it’s oil and gas development that’s proven to cause real damage. https://t.co/36gRjqqacF
Lawmakers have signed a dangerous measure that threatens the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota, putting our clean water and wildlife in peril. We will not stand for this.
One of the world's rarest whales lives in only one place: the Gulf of Mexico, where the Trump administration wants to expand oil and gas drilling that scientists fear could push the giant mammal to extinction.
