SocratiQ, in the eyes of students
SocratiQ Pathfinders Pilot Program is designed with the humble acceptance that education is in a brand new territory and we are all learning. SocratiQ's features and improvements are the result of working closely with teachers, students and school leaders.
We were excited and dizzy when we discovered that our pioneering institutional partner had a strict no-homework policy. SocratiQ was used by students in classrooms in this pilot. We learned as much as these students during this exercise and are still speechless thinking about how quickly a brand new technology can create such an impact.
Kudos to the wonderful teachers of IJFR for not only pioneering the SocratiQ Pathfinders Program, but also getting teens in front of the camera to talk about work :)
We are now setting up for full-scale implementation. Our mission to make SocratiQ work for every student in every part of the world shines bright as we expand the SocratiQ Pathfinders Pilot program to include more schools and universities.

Our founding team will work closely with you throughout the pilot and as an early partner you will have a say in the design and execution of what may very well be one of the defining educational innovations in the recent years.

The study and the results are super interesting. We have always advocated that such studies offer good guidance for general practices and principles, but when it comes to applying the results it must come down to the learner's preferences in combination with teacher's choices.
Our design choices for SocratiQ deeply reflect this. Many of our design decisions build upon the evidence gathered by the learning sciences without compromising on agency and optionality for both the teacher and learner.
By choosing an infinite canvas, provisioning support for instructions and inquiry, we have a platform that includes everyone. (Except mobile phone users currently :) - sorry).
We'll go into the details in a future newsletter issue.

We are extremely pleased to announce the release of SocratiQ 0.6.0. We have been dreaming of this release for quite some time. This feature has been rewritten several times over the past few months. We hope you all like it as much as we do. :)

Release notes are on the way for SocratiQ 0.6, discussing in detail the new SocratiQ Purview system.
We also have the next post in our knowledge series coming up. Here is the first post of the series for those that haven't read it yet:

A detailed video walk through of SocratiQ's Mastery Driven Quizzes.
You can create multiple quizzes per topic in SocratiQ. Every quiz can have its own intentions, preconditions for taking the quiz, points and number of questions.
Each quiz question, the choices, difficulty level can be edited by the teacher. Generated questions can be fixed, choices regenerated or directly edited. Teachers can also create the entire quiz without using the AI.
This detailed walk through takes you through the steps in a deliberate and thorough fashion. If you have any questions feel free to DM or email us at [email protected].
Enjoy quizzing :)
We are excited about all the wonderful things happening around WordiQt & Puthir. But we haven't lifted our feet off the pedal on SocratiQ. 0.6 is coming along beautifully and it is shaping up to be an epic release.
If you had trouble with seeing the notes in SocratiQ Featured Exploration #3: Logic Gates or downloading the Minecraft file, please try again. There were some minor niggles that have been fixed now.
If you don't see a lot of colorful notes, please use the Globe icon in the upper left area to "Get Latest Updates". That should make you current.
Please ping me if you have any questions or spot any issues.

We discuss four tactics SocratiQ employs to deal with non-deterministic AI. SocratiQ 0.6 and higher will employ more sophisticated approaches, but we are happy with how we currently wrangle the problem while safe-guarding teachers and students.
Hope you all like this. Let us know if you think we are doing enough / what we can do better.

SocratiQ's 3rd featured exploration is a small peek into what the future of education looks like. Combining an experiential learning walk through that begins as a medieval role-playing RPG, it takes the learner through an implementation of logic gates in Minecraft.
Coupled with an intentional, active SocratiQ curriculum that covers intuition and theory, this is a great Logic Gates starter-kit for most schools and colleges. This will be continuously updated during the upcoming weeks, months and years.

I'm super happy to present the 3rd SocratiQ Featured Exploration on Logic Gates. Minecraft, instruction, history, Minecraft, inquiry, Minecraft. Did I mention Minecraft?
Yes, SocratiQ + Minecraft is a potent combo :)
Enjoy! https://t.co/cRwtKrcsfF
