Dear Mr Rufai Oseni @ruffydfire,
When I first started watching you and saw the constant attacks thrown your way, I sided with you. I assumed people were fighting you because Nigerians often hate the bitter truth. I thought you were a brave voice facing unfair backlash.
But after paying close attention to how you treat people who disagree with you, the real problem became clear.
You are suffering from “Trump syndrome.” The same behavior that makes the world reject Donald Trump is why many Nigerians find you unbearable.
You display a great level of triumphalism and narcissism. Your attitude screams that you must always be the one who is right. If a stance is contrary to yours, you automatically label it false.
Even when you are glaringly wrong, you choose to attack and destroy the personality of the person correcting you instead of accepting correction.
Also, you are quick to award yourself false accolades, just like Trump. Everything with you is usually on the edge—exaggerated, hyper-sensationalized, and rarely what you actually claim it is.
You constantly blow situations out of proportion to make yourself the hero of the narrative. These exact similarities are what establish your textbook Trump syndrome.
I see you project this behavior regularly onto your co-anchors at Arise News and other colleagues in your profession.
Do not let the people cheering you on deceive you. They are a minority. They only applaud you because they see you as a tool to fight their political or social enemies. You share their bias, and they are using your platform for it.
I do not blame you for having a bias because nobody in this life is entirely neutral. We all take sides. That part is fine.
What is not fine is your mannerism. You are 46 years old now. You are a mature man who should know better.
This is exactly how Trump’s inner circle failed to curb his behavior when he was younger. They clapped for his arrogance, his false self-praise, and his exaggerations, and now he is an older man who cannot change his toxic ways.
If you do not check this narcissistic behavior now, it will become your permanent legacy.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.

TVC News has been named Best Television Station (National) at the 2026 Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA), while two of its anchors, Nifemi Oguntoye and Riyal Abdul won individual honours at the ceremony in Lagos.

At the Seyi Tinubu 41st Birthday Colloquium, I spoke about the importance of building a future where young people have the opportunity to thrive.
As we celebrate Seyi, the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, I commend him for bringing young Nigerians together to discuss the future we all share.
Lagos teaches us that progress takes time and collective effort. The Blue Line, first conceived in 1983, became a reality 40 years later through the efforts of successive administrations. That tells us that some of the most important things we start today may be completed by those who come after us.
I trained as a surveyor before becoming a banker and, eventually, your Governor. I know that before you build, you must first survey the ground. That is why I spoke about where we stand as a state and the work still ahead of us.
When HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu brought me into government in my 30s, his cabinet was filled with young professionals willing to challenge ideas and push boundaries. He gave us room to debate and grow. That is how leaders are made.
To our young people, I say keep showing up. Decisions that affect your lives are made at community meetings, ward meetings and budget hearings. Get your voter card, participate and take your place in shaping the future.
Master a skill, whatever you choose to do. Work at it until you become so good at what you do that your ability speaks for itself.
Build for home, too. Travel to learn if you must, but keep a foothold back home and bring your knowledge and ideas back to help build our communities.
To my generation, we have a responsibility to clear the path. We must mentor without expecting anything in return, hire young talent and make room for the next generation to lead.
As I prepare to hand over the reins in a few months, my hope is that we finish what others started, begin work that others can continue and leave behind a solid foundation for those who come after us.
"...My father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a man of legacy, and he has endured this in his political career. I challenge today all the youths in this room to go forward and remember where we came from, and go forward and demand to be given a chance. Go forward and demand to be in the room..." - Seyi Tinubu, Convener, Seyi Tinubu Colloquium

This Job is difficult for Kenneth Okwonkwo, the host has to tell him: Kenneth, let’s not overflog this issue. It’s not possible for Atiku... you know he can’t change all the things you mentioned; it’s simply not feasible.
Probably graduated with a 3rd class or read the course in an unranked school.
Nigeria currently does 1.7m bpd.
We were doing 2m in 99.
Ideally production capacity is supposed to have increased if we had invested rightly, especially considering the fact that we have one of the highest reserves in the world.
So even going back to 2m bpd is an increase in production that will improve revenue.
Better go and burn that degree.
Oseni Rufai is 'gnorantly loud and so are many Nigerians; That federal govt 30-day discount is not a subsidy, govt hasn't brought back subsidy otherwise people won't be mandated to download the NNPC's mobile application to pay digitally.
When we were enjoying subsidy doing Jonathan's regime, was it limited to the NNPC, and were we asked to pay via app?
Put on your thinking caps.
"Cast your vote without hindrance or interference. Nigeria will get there. We will flourish. We will continue to nurture this democracy for the fulfillment of our dream, for the prosperity and stability of our country."
— President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Some people are surprised that a man is leaving a marriage after 13years and 7 children. You haven’t seen people who have been married for longer years and still divorced? The success of a marriage is not tied to how long it last. In fact, leaving when it’s no longer working is considered a success.
It’s better to leave than holding on to a marriage that longer works and you are unhappy in perpetuity.
