📍 Great time at the #EMBO-Annaberg workshop in #membranetrafficking and #membranedynamics in Radstadt, Austria!
🏔️ Exchanging struggles and ideas with great cell biologists during amazing sightseeing in the austrian mountains!
🌟 Can't wait to come back! #EMBOcellbio2025
🎉Thrilled to announce that I have been awarded the Italian Science Fund-StG to start my research lab at the University of Milan @LaStatale🇮🇹🔬
We'll study #RSV viral replication factories for novel #TPD antiviral strategies🦠
📢 We're #hiring soon! If interested, get in touch!📩
🌲 Merry #Christmas!
🌟 Me and my amazing lab mates received a fantastic Xmas gift this year!
🔬 Check out our #review on #npj#viruses! We describe how #SARS-CoV-2 reshapes cellular organelles and pathways

🧬 #PhD student looking for a lab to visit, here!
🧫 I am looking for a european lab to visit for few months in 2025.
I am particularly interested in +ssRNA #viruses, host-#pathogen interactions, cellular #trafficking and more!
Any suggestion? Thanks to whoever may help!
🔬 #science and fun in Sorrento Coast!
In the last few days I had the pleasure to join my second #Tigem retreat. Great talks and beautiful #sunsets 🌅 chatting about cell biology and showing off some #viral replication #organelles from #Sarscov2
💥 Check out the first #paper from my #PhD journey!
By combining #imaging, #proteomics and #transcriptomics approaches, we found that a type 1 ribosome inactivating protein (RIP) altered pathways that turned out to be crucial for #SarsCov2 infection 🔬

Few weeks ago I presented my first #poster at the National Congress of the Italian Society for #Virology (ISV) in📍Bologna, Italy. It was an exciting opportunity to share my PhD project: a novel #cell-based platform to study viral #replication#organelles formation.
Thrilled to have been part of the #EMBO Intensive Course in #ElectronMicroscopy for #CellBiology (16-26 June 2024) in 📍Oslo, Norway.
It has been a great chance to explore all the flavours of this technique.
Thanks to the organizers for this great opportunity! What's next? 🌠
In the last few weeks I joined @UKKoeln for a training on #CRISPR/Cas12a endogenous #tagging system.
It was my first working experience out of Italy and it couldn't be any better!
Now I am looking forward to translating this technique in my #PhD project 🧬
Remembering the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize, the first individual to be awarded two Nobel Prizes and still today the only individual with two Nobel Prizes in two different scientific categories: Marie Skłodowska Curie.
Curie was born #OnThisDay in 1867.
First titrations of 🦇 flaviviruses by in-cell Western. Good news, the pan-flavi anti-Env allowed the titration of all bat flaviviruses, even the ones belonging to the ‘no known vector’ group 🥳

Check out our work on efficacy of approved mAbs. congrats to @Timothee_B and wonderful collaborators Longitudinal analysis of serum neutralization of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2, BA.4 and BA.5 in patients receiving monoclonal antibodies https://t.co/6tzBF74xqP
In the last two days I attended my first #retreat since I arrived at @Tigem_Telethon one year ago, I had the opportunity to understand many of the ongoing #projects in the Institute and further #perspectives, without forgetting to have a good time obviously ✌️

Antigen presentation to a CD8+ T Cell by MHC class I. The CD3 TCR 🔵 binds the antigen in the cleft of MHC I 🔴. CD8 alpha and beta 🟢 dock to the base of the MHC. This brings Lck kinase 🟡 close to ITAM motifs on CD3's C terminus. #Blender3d#sciart#b3d
The destroyer of herpesviral capsids: The interferon-inducible GTPase MxB punches holes in HSV-1 #capsids, releasing the viral DNA and triggering innate immune responses, reports new #RefereedPreprint by the Sodeik lab (@beatesodeik).
