Para su información mayoras significa mujeres sabias, que tienen la autoridad ética y moral para guiar el rumbo de nuestros pueblos.
Siento mucho que para ustedes el único lenguaje correcto sea el heredado de la colonia.
The ten richest billionaires have doubled their wealth during the pandemic, while 99% of people are worse off and 160 million have been pushed into poverty.
There is something fundamentally wrong with our economic system. https://t.co/WS7WTNOnIW
Inequality contributes to a death every 4 seconds. It's not by chance but by choice: our economies are the violent consequence of choices made for and by the richest. #InequalityKills We can change this. Demand a more equal future for all https://t.co/6aRiAEvXsI #FightInequality
I work in nature conservation. I am desperate to save endangered species, restore habitats and bring back flourishing, diverse ecosystems.
But the work of conservationists will mean nothing if we can’t limit climate breakdown - and that means no more fossil fuels.
I'm a permaculturist. I love gardening, I love trees. But still I say please stop pushing "nature-based solutions." The fossil fuel industry loves to see it! Yes we must get out of the way of wild places, let them to regenerate, but all is lost if we don't END THE FF INDUSTRY
The climate crisis reveals that our civilization has never really been organized around science, contrary to the usual Enlightenment narrative. It is organized around capital. Science is embraced when it serves the interests of capital, and is often ignored when it does not.
In a rational world with governance systems geared towards global public interest, there would be a windfall tax on Pfizer and Moderna to finance vaccine self-reliance investments in the Global South. Instead, we have corporate cartels raking in super-profits + a bit of charity
The AstraZeneca vaccine, praised by Boris Johnson in his speech, was 97% publicly funded.
We got vaccines in under a year because governments around the world channelled billions of public money into research. Capitalism ensured only rich countries could access them.
@anaaac_s El libro “The Ministry for the Future” de Kim Stanley Robinson - como novela no me encantó, como utopía de como transformar al planeta y superar la crisis climática sí. Me dio esperanza.
La ciencia es clara: los compromisos nacionales no están ni cerca de una trayectoria que evite una catástrofe climática global. Se necesita un aumento brutal e inmediato de ambición. La salud y bienestar de millones de personas en todo el 🌎 está de por medio.

4/ Rather, these IRS records show the wealthiest can—perfectly legally—pay income taxes that are only a tiny fraction of the hundreds of millions, if not billions, their fortunes grow each year.
Millennials hold 4.8% of all wealth. There are now 40-year-old Millennials.
At the same age, Gen X had 9% of wealth. Boomers had 21%
The largest generation in history did what the system told them to do and became the most-educated in history. Now they're the poorest in history
Boris says vaccine came from capitalism & greed. Wrong (again) on BOTH. 1. Capitalism? Massive high risk early stage PUBLIC investment 2. Greed? That's what's making things go very wrong. Abandon ideology (and ignorance). My article with @henrylsl https://t.co/JhiMjVYooS

The notion that wealthy countries have "achieved" growth while poor countries "haven't" erases both colonial history and neo-colonial forms of power. In reality the former have grown rich by exploiting the latter, and they continue to do so.
Oxford/AZ reports overall reduction in PCR positivity of 54.1%, but only 2% "vaccine efficacy against asymptomatic infection."
Confused?
Allow me to explain with crudely drawn pictures why the overall findings are still quite positive. 1/8
