@JeromeAdamsMD@CDCgov Pediatrician here. Also, please, please @CDCgov quickly update mask recs. School starts less than 2 weeks and admins not budging on their “optional masks” despite AAP recs. Incredibly concerned for our children. @CDCDirector
My new book, So You Think You Know What Is Good For You? is coming out in July with @HachetteAus. It’s about debunking health myths so that you can focus on what matters and stop worrying about what doesn't. Pre-order now at your local bookshop or go to https://t.co/BEWDos476m.
@Spanky_McMuffin@DeirdreBoyd @StephanieCreary @WSJ So we are all agreed then. Medical Doctors will now be referred to as “Barbers of Medicine”. I think this is a very good compromise.
@DeirdreBoyd @StephanieCreary @WSJ Dr, sharing a root with doctrine, refers to those qualified to teach by virtue of their PhD. Physicians started using the word ca. 1700 to borrow professors’ prestige. What you call non-doctors are the original doctors. If you want 2 words, they are Dr (like Biden) & physician.
