SIMD-0553 is merged, fully approved, and landing in v4.3.

Solana's base fee has been 5,000 lamports per signature since genesis, whether you tick an oracle or run 1.4M CU of swap routing. Now fees price what transactions actually request, and the resource component burns.

Votes: 12% cheaper. Oracle updates: 17% cheaper. Burn: 648 SOL/day today, 7,500 to 9,000 at the terminal rate.
