What I never understand about mass migration, which is completely miserable, is that there seems to be this implicit sentiment of "this must happen". But still, after 50 years or whatever, it is never explained why it must happen. They always just cycle through different arguments: aging population, payback for colonization, diversity, cuisine, humanitarianism. You can never get a read from politicians, academics, artists, activists etc. You cannot look inside their minds. They only offer glimpses. And yet, they're deeply invested in this process taking place.

And they constantly have to live with tremendous cognitive dissonance, as their designs are obviously at odds with bringing about a pleasant and harmonious society.

Tbh, it gives rise to a lot of anxiety in me, the fact that our elites are so unknowable, a black box. Like you have just absolutely no idea what they actually want. They just seem insane, but cloaked in the aesthetics of technocratic neoliberalism, which makes them seem relatively normal or well-adjusted, even though they are actually retarded and malevolent.
