Durban SAPS caught a boy stealing & they asked him why, he said he is living alone with Koko in unbearable situation with no food neither a roof to sleep,
Instead of arresting the boy Police went to see where he stay & couldn't help themselves but bringing them something to eat.

ZPCS introduced Prisoner Employment Program (PEP) where inmates can be employed by private companies. In Mutare, Gogo Olive employs female inmates where they make dolls for export to overseas. They are paid allowances which they can use to look after their families back home.

The hit song Kujata jata was sung by ZPCS Correctional Officer (CO1) whose real name is Day Tawanda Ncube but best known as DT BiO mudimba in the music circles. The officer is stationed at Ntabazinduna Training School in Mat North Province where he is a member of ZPCS Band.

Inmates are scheduled to take part in an online Inter-continental Chess Tournament for Inmates on 13-14 October 2021 at Chikurubi Maximum Prison. Zimbabwe has been paired in a group comprising Russia, Ukraine, Norway, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Georgia and North Macedonia.
