It is wonderful to be back in Hargeisa, capital of the Rep. of #Somaliland. Heartbreaking to see the destruction left by the fire at the Waaheen Market, but exhilarating to see the resilience, faith & optimism of the Somaliland people to overcome adversity - as they always have.
Happening now at the University of Hargeisa: book launch of ''The Country that Does Not Exist: A History of Somaliland'' by Gérard Prunier. @APuntite is chairing the session. Thanks to @IPCSHargeisa for hosting this book launch. @HargeysaCC@JamaMusse@NMAliDr#HIBF2022
