We knew Trump's constant "Ukraine's strikes on Russian refineries are causing higher US fuel prices" statements were lies, but now we know it's much more, and much worse.

Putin has the Trump family convinced that they will be given Russian oil assets, so all this pressure on Ukraine not to hit Russia in the only way that actually works is merely Putin puppet-handling the White House, with Trump protecting what they think will be part of their ongoing array of loot if they save Putin.

This reminds me of two scenes in the German movie “Downfall,” which depicts, historically accurately, Hitler’s last days. Both scenes involve Hitler and Albert Speer discussing Hitler’s “Nero Order,” by which the Führer had ordered the destruction of the Reich’s remaining economic infrastructure.

In the first scene, Hitler argues that the German people deserved to die because they were weak:

Hitler: “If the war is lost, it’s immaterial if the people perish too. … Our people turned out weak, and according to the laws of nature, they should die out.”

Speer: “They’re your people. You’re their Führer.”
