As one of Oregon’s three elected Democratic National Committee persons, it was my honor to submit the name “Kamala D. Harris” on my Democratic Party nominating petition for President of the United States!
History in the making! 👏🏾✊🏾

This November, we will help elect a majority to Congress who agree that the government should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.
When Congress passes the law to restore reproductive freedoms, as President of the United States, I will sign it into law.
"Vasquez is raking in cash from deep-pocketed property investors who are interested in the condition of Multnomah County but in many cases do not live here."
All the more reason to re-elect @DAMikeSchmidt in 2024.

A surge of potent drugs is driving drug overdoses, not Measure 110 (2020 trailblazing drug use decriminalization law)
I've loved many who've struggled with addiction. None would have been better supported in recovery behind bars, away from loved ones.

City leaders say criminalizing public drug use could help connect more people w/addiction recovery services, but those who most often respond to OD calls (EMTs) rarely refer patients to treatment. Critics say council is reviving the failed War on Drugs. https://t.co/8BcfVfZMEL
I’ve heard this from someone: “Harm reduction is stopping people from accessing recovery.” If people really feel that way about recovery then maybe they should seriously look at what is missing from recovery that make it unappealing or unattainable for some people. Barriers might include lack of access to housing, employment and counselling after completion of treatment. We must address all social determinants of health.
HB 2513 will do this through increased oversight and accountability, more timely distribution of funding, and redoubling the implementation of proven, public health approaches to addiction services and treatment. #orleg#orpol
A useless poll with the sole purpose of further distorting the public discourse about how to move our city forward. Paid for by our city's biggest grifters, People "for" Portland.
“It costs as much as $35,000 per person per year to criminalize someone in a misdemeanor drug case, and $9,000 on average to provide that same person with evidence-based treatment that may very well save their life.” #orpol#orleg#Measure110

Measure 110 saves the justice system $37 million dollars per biennium, according to a hot-off-the-press revenue report.
Those millions will now go to fund substance use disorder services! This is critical considering cannabis tax revenue is declining. 🎉 https://t.co/Hx4j96wQRP
