SILENCE
We crossed our legs & reclined cos we were free, the deafening sounds were far away so we just said our creed...roll out the drums & let the wine flow, lets hold hands in our gardens let our smiles glow.
“A non-biological Muslim brother is dearer to me than a biological non-Muslim brother”.
Funny how we didn’t see these takes when Trump spoke on Christians killed in Nigeria. Then, the sermon was "unity by race, not religion." Now the script has completely inverted to "unity by religion, not race."
On top football banter?!
Congratulate you, as per say you be Arteta? Or member of his coaching staff? You work at the front office? Did you personally get a medal?
What’s really going on here?
Woke up to see people crying about Arsenal hate… Nonsense
Football Rivalry is as old as the sport itself. If anything, the noise has decreased.
City’s decade of dominance reduced the competitive landscape and took the edge off genuine rivalry.
The loudest eras of football hatred were the 90s and 2000s, when Chelsea, Arsenal and United were all fighting for the same thing. What we have now is more people on social media amplifying what was always there.
By the way, the same fanbase that just ended a 22-year title drought and chose to spend that moment obsessing over an individual award a rival player won is now lecturing others about toxicity?
You won the league but instead, the discourse became Player of the Year. After 22 years ohhh
Talmabout Arsenal hate.. Thats another level of sophistry if u ask me
If the temperature of football culture genuinely distresses you, there are quieter sports available.
Lawn tennis is lovely this time of year. Judo has a very respectful community.
@AmaezeNosiri@Chydee Come for them? The same Chelsea that had a shit season, that had three coaches within a season and finished 10th, the same one that lost the Fa cup final? Abeg which kind coming for we no experience this season. You guys are just all in your feelings.
Lmaoo. Football can and should never be that deep.
Be annoyed, sad, even hurt when your team loses. Celebrate when a rival loses. Talk your trash. That’s literally part of the fun.
But if you’re insulting people, disrespecting them, questioning their character, or acting like football results are a moral issue, are you okay?
The game is built on rivalry and banter. Half the joy is being able to say, “We’ve won more than you,” “We’ve got this trophy, you don’t,” or “We’ve been there, you haven’t.” As long as it doesn’t become physical or genuinely abusive, it’s harmless.
People/teams are and will always wind up rivals because it’s football. Not every joke, bit of banter, or hate-watch session is some deep psychological projection. The way some of you psychoanalyze and turn it into a dissertation on character flaws is far more ridiculous than the banter itself.
Most of you genuinely need to get a life. Because this thing you’re living is not it.
Arsenal fans are something else bro, this is the first time in all my years of watching football that a team takes banter so personal & makes it so emotional 😂, it's almost like they suffered bodily harm. Banter has elicited so much epistles, banter oo 🤷🤷
@Fel_Steve They are just cry babies abeg, every other club takes banter on the chin & moves on but this their own don turn something else. They are just making it emotional as if na real life beef
