What people need to understand is that content creators are just digital serfs. We work the land owned by the tech giants and billionaires.
We own nothing. We aren't the customers, and neither are our fans. The real customers are the advertisers. This relationship isn't between creators and fans. It's strictly between the owners of the platforms and the companies who advertise with them.
This is technofeudalism already.
I got to spend all day today with Jensen in Taiwan: talking with thousands of engineers and eating street food at a night market. Jensen is received as a rockstar in Taiwan, like it's Beatles in the 60's. It's mind-blowing and fun to watch. But most importantly, through all the interactions and all my conversations with him, he remained the same humble, kind, thoughtful, funny guy he always was, even as a kid who went to these same night markets many years ago.
Btw, we tried a crazy amount of different street food. It's legit some of the most delicious food I've ever had. I can't wait to share video of it, including a ton of our conversations and hangout. When I can pause for a moment from all the travel to edit the video, I'll post it.
Can't wait to continue talking to Jensen and engineers at Computex this week, and exploring more of Taiwan, and of course roaming the night markets for some more delicious street food.
Days like these, even more than usual, I feel like the luckiest kid in the world.
Love you all! ❤️
@SkiadaX@GeminiApp I have the avatar thing but I won't have them scan my face. Google has enough data about me already. Also the rather new feature to have any chat reviewed by some random stranger, unless the option to have all chats deleted after 72 hours is enabled, is kind of a bitch move.
Official update for our community : We are not shutting down!
StreamElements is in conversation with an amazing partner aligned around one thing: working in the interest of creators and the community.
Your tools and data are safe.
We've secured funding while partner integration is underway, and pending creator payments will roll out over the coming weeks.
More information soon, i'm sure you’ll like it.

📣 This solo developer who currently works at Pixar as a Technical Director is building a VR rhythm game called Sock Puppet Superstar for Quest as an indie project, and over the last week he has been going viral on TikTok!
🤖Features/Tech:
- Using Unity, OpenXR, hand tracking, and a custom voice synthesizer built in FMOD
- Raise and lower your puppet to control the pitch
- Works with hand tracking or controllers
- Customize your sock puppet with colors, fabrics, accessories, and voices
📌 Devs can achieve this using the Meta XR Interaction SDK or Unity XR Toolkit (XR Hands) to add full hand support like what’s shown here.
🚀 Share this to give this solo indie dev more visibility! I’ll continue this bi-weekly with more indie devs who deserve the amplification!
@Google@googlechrome Please bring back the 'bookmark tabs' context menu entry (CTRL+Shift+D is suboptimal as it saves all tabs and not just selected tabs) - and/or turn grouped tabs into bookmark-folders and vice versa.
@WesRoth I remember a few years ago anyone (not Google) said they used TPUs instead of GPUs because a solar storm wouldn't destroy their whole training run.
all the CEOs sacrificing sleep at the alter of productivity, is most certainly going to back fire.
So much of decision making degrades as you get less sleep and no, you don't get "use to it." You just remain in a perpetual bad state.
