I love this project so much. It’s mesmerizing to zoom in on each #portrait, w/ all the tiny beautiful painted details, so quirky and intimate. There’s a bit of ‘I Spy’ w/ some familiar media faces, and then just the collective poignant humanness of this pandemic moment. Gorgeous
I painted Political Analyst @PhilipRucker as seen on @MSNBC as part of my series "100 Zoom Portraits". Made during the initial lockdown, these portraits are a response to both the isolation and intimacy I felt as analysts like Philip were suddenly speaking to me from their homes.
Journalists, stop calling the failure to pass the voting rights bill a “major setback” for Democrats. It is a major setback for DEMOCRACY. The right to vote is not a partisan issue. Stop framing it as such and legitimizing anti-voter efforts.
I painted NY lawmaker @rontkim as seen on MSNBC as part of my series "One Hundred Zoom Portraits". Inspired by the collective isolation felt during the pandemic, I painted different correspondents and interviewees as they spoke to me from their homes.

Yesterday, I spoke with @StateDept, the Burmese ambassador to the U.S. and our ambassador to Burma. Danny Fenster’s immediate and unconditional release is a top priority. Thank you for your calls and emails. Please know I will not stop fighting until Danny is home.
