.@Edison_Electric: Your efforts to kill climate action during the hottest summer in history are outrageous. Stop trying to block @EPA's common-sense limits on power plant pollution. #UtilityMomentofTruth
NEW: footage from the scene at University of Michigan right now and it’s stunning. This is the line of students waiting to register and vote. Over 200 young people. 2+ hour-long wait. No poll could’ve predicted this energy. Ignore the polls and VOTE!
.@SenatorDurbin@SenDuckworth@unicefusa & I urge you to cosponsor The Mental Health Services for Students Act (S.1841) and Pursuing Equity in Mental Health Act (S.1795) to invest in the #mentalhealth needs of children in the U.S. https://t.co/b8LThf9Tpc
Lisa Clemons, Founder & Director of A Mother's Love Initiative on @NewsHour discussing shootings that continue to happen at traffic stops. As a former police officer she talked about the fear factor on both sides. This painting was down as part of my project "100 Zoom Portraits"
"I think a bigger part of this is a fear factor on both sides, and I don't think anything will change until we start talking about that fear and being realistic about that fear on both sides."

Another subject of my 100 Zoom Portrait project is @JohnSamplesCato. He is Vice President of @CatoInstitute and member of Facebook's Oversight Board. He was interviewed on @NewsHour about the decision to ban Trump from Facebook.
I painted E. Tendayi Achiume, as she was interviewed on @NewsHour. She is a professor at @UCLA_Law and a UN special reporter on contemporary forms of racism, xenophobia, and racial discrimination. My portrait of her is part of my pandemic-inspired series: 100 Zoom Portraits.
As part of my 100 Zoom Portraits project I painted Claire McCaskill, former US Senator of Missouri. It took me awhile to work it out, but she is in front of an early American painting of very large hogs at a trough behind her! Subtle comment on the politics of DC? @clairecmc
