Friday night thoughts:

George Soros is legitimately a genius in every field he worked. He implemented the modern Gene Sharp soft-power machinery. He ran one of the most successful hedge funds in history.

Soros spent his entire life denying any objective truth could possibly exist, and that the only "good" government was a supranational set of institutions that would arbitrate the competing interests of a borderless people.

Yet, for all his denial that truth could exist and his insistence that secular humanism was the only enlightened way to navigate the world... his entire philosophy of reflexivity was based on the idea that - his own quote - "discrepancy between thought and reality is so great that something will have to give: either reality will have to change, or thought will have to be brought back to the realm of reality."

What is reality if not objective truth?

Alex Soros is powerful, but dumb in comparison to his father. And ironically the proof of that is that Alex said he is more political than his father. Alex Soros thinks in left versus right terms. His father George operated and thought about 2-3 orders above where these labels mattered.

The challenge is, George Soros was enormously successful at building a blueprint which Alex and others are following. If we are to take the Soros machine down, we'll have to understand it better than George ever understood himself.

The has-been “comedian” who hasn’t worked since getting fired from Saturday Night Live six years ago decided to pick a fight with the wrong man. Amy Schumer attacked James Woods, calling him “irrelevant and ignorant.”

Woods — a Rhodes Scholar with two Ph.Ds — didn’t even flinch. He simply listed his actual accomplishments and told her to sit this one out.

Once again, another washed-up Hollywood wokester completely underestimated James Woods. She brought a butter knife to a gunfight and got publicly dismantled.

They weren't just watching the movie. They were acting out every scene, singing every song, shouting every line, and turning the entire theater into one unforgettable live performance.

Some of the best memories of the '70s, '80s, and '90s weren't made at home... they were made with complete strangers celebrating a movie they all loved.

It is one of those experiences you simply had to be there to understand.

The SG-1 Theme Song!

Did you know that there are lyrics to the Stargate: SG-1 theme? No. Really. ish.

While Scorched Earth was the first script we wrote for Stargate PRIOR to officially joining the production, Window of Opportunity was not, in fact, the first thing we wrote AFTER we landed on staff. No, that distinction goes to the lyrics to the Stargate: SG-1 theme song Paul and I composed shortly after moving into our offices.

Over 12 years, 14 seasons, 350 hours of television - I feel that this remains one of the best things we ever wrote for the franchise. Director Peter DeLuise coaxed us into performing it for one of the DVD extras. Enjoy.
