Congrats to @precisionspace grad student Samantha Parry Kenyon @spacesam1 for expertly defending her PhD thesis today on charge management technology and numerical modeling for LISA!

Now one year on orbit! The #CHOMPTT the precision timing payload, designed and built by @uflmae@precisionspace students, in collaboration with our @NASAAmes colleagues, continues to function nominally. Hope we can restart our RF beacon soon. #hamr - thank you!
Signal in LIGO/Virgo data. Most likely #gravitationalwaves from a binary neutron star source. Observed 39 minutes ago. Find out more at: https://t.co/SGZ7onBE0S
(2/2) Also, pretty sure moments after snapping this pic and getting back into the van, our group saw @Astro_Suni taking a picture of the rocket for herself! Shoutout to you Suni, you’re an inspiration!
(1/2) Bad news: went to Cape Canaveral this week to see #CRS19 launch aboard the #Falcon9 but the launch was delayed 😢
Good news: the rocket wasn’t fueled yet, so we got to see it up close on the launchpad! 😄
Thanks to @usairforce for the view!
#HubbleFriday Despite being just over 130 million light-years away, the orientation of galaxy NGC5468 makes it easier to spot new stars as they appear. We see it face on, meaning we can see the galaxy’s loose, open spiral in beautiful detail in images: https://t.co/3fz9PyYiGc
Congrats to the @SpaceX team for a successful launch, and for my friends at Sonoma State @SSU_1961 and NNU @nwnazarene for their payloads making it to space!
I got to be a science fair judge today, and was particularly impressed by a project done on the absorption rate of various dry and wet sponges. A young 6th grader taught me water is attracted to itself because it’s polar— you learn something new everyday! 🧽
