Nolan turned Odysseus into MacBeth. Once upon a time virtue meant honor and noble ness especially on the battlefield. Now it means the capacity to to be riddled with guilty feelings over one’s unworthiness perhaps due to unwarranted privilege and to one’s misdeeds of the past.

Agamemnon is a flawed king whose pride nearly destroys the Greek campaign, but he's still an imposing leader.
