President Obama was visibly emotional during Michelle Obama’s speech.
In a world that too often tells men to hide their feelings, seeing a husband openly proud, moved, and supportive of his wife is a reminder that strength and vulnerability can exist together.
🚨BREAKING: A cognitive scientist from MIT has mathematically proven that evolution guarantees we see zero percent of true reality, that most consciousness in the universe exists without a body, and that non-human intelligences with a wider window on reality than ours can reach in and manipulate it the way a programmer manipulates a video game.
Donald Hoffman (@donalddhoffman) is a cognitive scientist at UC Irvine who has spent 40 years building a mathematical theory of the observer. His work was cited by John Wheeler in the "It From Bit" paper. He studied under Marvin Minsky at MIT, spent two decades secretly meeting with Francis Crick to study consciousness, and has nine specific mathematical conjectures on the table that would derive general relativity, quantum field theory and the Big Bang from a single framework. The top high-energy physicists in the world, Nima Arkani-Hamed and Nobel laureate David Gross, are already saying spacetime is doomed. Hoffman thinks he knows what replaces it.
This interview is the first time he has publicly laid out what his mathematical model explains about alien life, embodiment and the structure of reality.
It already derives time dilation and quantum wave functions directly from differences in observer window size. Physics has spent a century failing to solve the measurement problem because it has been looking in the wrong place. The observer has to come first, and no physicalist framework can get you there.
A consciousness with a larger observer window has access to the underlying structure of our reality in ways we can't perceive or counter. A craft going Mach 40 instantaneously in our headset could be a leisurely maneuver in theirs.
The implications for UAP and alien life are immense.
Embodiment, being locked into a body with fingers and toes as your only interface with the world, is a probability zero anomaly in the full space of possible minds. He also says current large language models are dumber than cucumbers. His new framework, the recursive trace logic, is a completely different architecture, and some of the biggest names in frontier AI have already come to him about it.
The framework has no ceiling, and the implication is a single unified consciousness exploring itself through an unbounded number of perspectives, each one capable of waking up.
Death, in this framework, is just the closing of an icon on the desktop.

And that will be the beginning of the end.
We have systematically destroyed a great institution. For a long long time it remained untouched by political parochialism. U can see many PYQs that were actually critical of govt policies.
Not anymore. Slowly the credibility has been eroded. Not over night. But systematically over 20-25 years, and now accelerating.
I remember appointment of DP Agarwal as a very controversial move. He was the biggest voice in upsc reforms. He was against coaching. But immediately after end of his tenure he became the face of a coaching institute. We see quite a few upsc members on interview panels. That’s a sad precedent of conflict of interests.
India’s testing platforms and exams institutions are rogues. It’s actually criminal. Those in charge deserve conviction.
I dread education reforms. For that matter, I dread any reforms now. It’s back door entry to bulldoze political agenda.

This information on how heat kills can save many lives 🙏
That heat alone does not kill us and when mixed with high humidity levels, even relatively low temperatures can become dangerous 🙏

India has now attained criticality in a commercial, 500MW power producing, fast breeder nuclear reactor.
(We had experimental one before, but this is a big commercial one that can produce power.)
Criticality means reactor is running by itself without needing to keep re-igniting it. Breeder means it makes more fissile fuel than it uses.
Nobody wanted to give India such tech. Because these reactors can create nuclear fissile material. So India created the tech itself in spite of sanctions.
Only Russia has this tech (true commerical fast breeder reactor) running. US, UK, France say they have given up on this. China has one prototype based on Russian tech but it is not yet commercial.
India has refused to put its Fast Breeder Reactor program under international scrutiny. It is a big, big, no HUGE thing for India's energy independence.
But, as usual, most Indians won't know how big as we don't play up our achievements. I was recently amused seeing some posts by Gen-Z advising Indian govt to go for Thorium cycle etc in some condescending tone.
Because India has been on it quietly for sometime. And this reactor going critical now and commercial soon means it can sustain itself for infinity. This cuts India's imports of Uranium. And paves the way for Thorium based reactors as well. (Stage 3 of India's nuclear program, we just passed Stage 2 with PM's post).
Also, what PM didn't say is, this reactor can help generate some 100+kg of weapons grade Plutonium -with which India can make many warheads and expand nuclear stockpile if it wishes so.
But India will never do that, you know, as India is a very peaceful nation promoting world wide nuclear disarmament ;)
this is actually insane

Sir… 🙏
If this tweet were a film, I would have gone to watch it first day first show, stood in the last row, and come out changed.
I came to Mumbai years ago carrying one suitcase, one dream, and an unreasonable belief that I would one day work under Ram Gopal Verma. That never happened. But somewhere along the way, without knowing it, I worked inside your cinema. Your films didn’t teach me how to make movies — they taught me how to think dangerously.
To have you say that Dhurandhar is a quantum leap feels surreal, emotional, and honestly a little unfair… because now whatever I do next has to live up to this tweet. 😄
You were one of my favourite directors who made Indian cinema feel fearless, impolite, and alive. If Dhurandhar has even a fraction of that DNA, it’s because your films whispered (sometimes screamed) in my head while I was writing and directing it.
If I’ve assumed the audience is intelligent, it’s because you taught an entire generation that cinema should never apologize for its ambition.
Thank you for this generosity, this madness, and this validation. The fan in me is overwhelmed. The filmmaker in me feels challenged.
And the boy who came to Mumbai to work under RGV… finally feels seen. 🎥🔥🙏
Tonight it finally clicked for me.
Neo asks her the classic question:
“If you already know what I’m going to do… do I really have a choice?”
And she hits him with the line:
“You’ve already made the choice. You’re just here to understand why.”
For years I thought this meant “there’s no free will.” But that’s not it.
Here’s the real insight:
Free will doesn’t exist in the moment.
It exists in the identity that leads to the moment.
The actions you take right now?
They’re mostly automatic - shaped by your conditioning, experiences, fears, habits, and past.
But the person you’re becoming?
That’s where your freedom actually lives.
You don’t choose the moment.
You choose the man who will meet the moment.
Or put in another way:
Determinism writes the past.
Identity writes the future.
Because when your life isn’t where you want it to be, the answer isn’t “make better choices.” The answer is: become the version of yourself who makes better choices automatically.
That’s the real red pill.
12 Lessons from the Elon Musk × Nikhil Kamath Podcast (simple + valuable)
• Create value, not shortcuts. Money follows useful products.
• Hard things need hard work. Expect long hours and real risk.
• Think long-term. Delay rewards, build for durability.
• Big things need teams. One person can’t do everything.
• Invest in great products + great people. Not stock noise.
• Truth matters. For AI and for life — falsehood breaks systems.
• Avoid politics. It destroys focus and slows real progress.
• Simple systems scale. Tiny fixes can save billions.
• Do real good, not performative good. Impact > image.
• Hire for talent. Great people are always scarce.
• Live events will become premium. Digital is abundant; real presence isn’t.
• Choose the interesting path. The “most interesting outcome” often wins.

3I/ATLAS: The Pattern Before Perihelion
Let’s stop pretending this timeline is normal can we?
July 1, 2025 3I/ATLAS shows up out of nowhere. A five kilometer interstellar object cutting straight through the ecliptic.
October 21 it will move behind the Sun.
October 29 perihelion. That’s when it’s fastest, brightest, and completely invisible from Earth.
Hear me out and look at what else happened.
NASA gets reclassified on August 28 as an agency performing intelligence and national security work.
Lay offs and furlough quickly followed.
In September, the Pentagon calls hundreds of generals and admirals to a last minute in person meeting, the biggest in decades and nobody says why. The meeting place was very close to the George Mason University (GMU) Observatory, located in Fairfax, Virginia, 56.33 kilometers away from the meeting point.
Across Europe, drones start popping up over airports and military sites, Munich, Copenhagen, Oslo, Madrid. Entire airspaces shut down and nothing ever recovered.
Today AWS collapses resulting in Apps, banks, even Ring cameras go down, all on the same day ATLAS enters its blackout window.
Could be coincidence, and maybe it’s all noise.
But if you stack the dates, the pattern is hard to ignore, come on?
An interstellar object vanishes behind the Sun. NASA shifts into an intel framework. The Pentagon rallies top brass. Drones swarm NATO skies...
I’m not drawing lines here, but I do have to mark them.
There sure does seem to be an awful lot of co inky dinks right now.

The Interstellar Visitor That Shouldn’t Exist
Something strange is moving through our Solar System — an object the size of a small mountain, known as 3I/ATLAS. Astronomers say the odds of its current path happening by pure chance are less than one in a million.
3I/ATLAS isn’t just another comet. It’s our third confirmed interstellar visitor, following the mysterious ʻOumuamua in 2017 and 2I/Borisov in 2019. Like those before it, this object is racing along a hyperbolic orbit, moving too fast to ever be trapped by the Sun’s gravity. It came from deep space — from somewhere beyond the stars we know — and soon, it will vanish back into the dark.
At first glance, it behaves like a comet, shedding gas and dust as sunlight warms its icy surface. Scientists estimate its solid core, or nucleus, to be about a kilometre across. But there’s more to it than meets the eye. Surrounding it is a glowing halo — a coma — that makes it hard to pin down its real size or structure. Its path is tilted only five degrees from the Solar System’s plane, meaning it’s traveling almost perfectly along the same flat disk where all our planets orbit. That might sound ordinary, but to some, it feels just a little too perfect.
And that’s where the mystery deepens. Observations from powerful telescopes — including the James Webb Space Telescope — show strange patterns in the light reflected from #3IATLAS. Its chemical “fingerprint” doesn’t match any comet we’ve seen before. It’s also releasing gas much farther from the Sun than it should, as if it contains unusual materials that evaporate easily or perhaps… something else entirely.
Most scientists say these are just oddities of nature — fascinating, but explainable. Yet, a few daring voices think otherwise. Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb, known for his bold ideas, has suggested that 3I/ATLAS might not be a natural object at all. Maybe, he says, it’s a fragment or probe sent by another civilisation. Most experts disagree, but still — the question lingers. What if it really was sent here on purpose?
Over the next few months, every major observatory on Earth — and even spacecraft orbiting Mars and Jupiter — will be watching closely. The James Webb Telescope will capture its glow in infrared light. Ground-based arrays will measure its speed and spin. Each new reading could bring us closer to understanding what this visitor truly is.
If 3I/ATLAS turns out to be a natural comet, it will still teach us something extraordinary about how worlds form around distant stars. But if, against all odds, it’s artificial — then we’re standing on the edge of the greatest discovery in human history.
Either way, this silent traveler from the stars has already done something remarkable: it’s made us look up again — and wonder. How many other messengers have passed through our Solar System without us noticing? How many secrets have we missed, drifting quietly in the dark?
And maybe, just maybe, somewhere out there, someone once looked toward our Sun and thought:
“That one looks interesting. Let’s take a closer look.”

Poor soul has clearly never had a good one. A truly great idli is a cloud, a whisper, a perfect dream of the perfectibility of human civilisation. It's a sublime creation, a delicate, weightless morsel of rice and lentil, steamed to an ethereal fluffiness that melts on the tongue. With the right accompaniments, it is the culinary equivalent of a Beethoven symphony, a Tagore sangeet, a Husain painting, a Tendulkar century. To call such a thing "regret" is to have no soul, no palate, no appreciation for the finest achievements of South Indian culture. I can only feel pity for @Molutty_writes and @SassyDopamine !
