This is the blueprint. Help start the fire by excitedly reporting the interest. Add kindling to ensure it keeps burning by constantly tweeting the same thing with the words changed or moved into a different order.
Watch the fire spread, wait for the player to say he wants the move and then declare it’s up to the clubs to agree a fee. His current club didn’t want to sell but now the conditions for the buying club to succeed have been stoked and the wind is in their favour. Job done. And it will be repeated.
@nolan_dan This piece was really insightful. “The distance between a Danube Institute fellow’s personal commentary and material appearing in Fidesz’s official pre-election communications had, at that point, effectively collapsed” < this is very apparent now as things get more desperate…
Viktor Orbán has poured many millions of euros into a network of right-wing think tanks, fellowships and media relationships extending into the UK.
Here I map the UK-Hungary network around figures such as Matt Goodwin, Douglas Murray and Frank Furedi.

@jackm1892 We’ve had some incredible moments in the last few years, but losing to them twice (and in the circumstances of them only recently being promoted) puts this season close to a relegation season. Very scarring and will take a long time to make amends
@jackm1892 Man-for-man, we had a very weak team on the pitch yesterday. Missed Bruno and Tonali from the very start. Our RW options don't get into a single other PL side. It's not Howe underacheiving, it's not a half arsed board - it's the effect of one calamitous transfer window.
@admcollingwood FWIW a defence services specialist (former Indian Navy) based in the Middle East told me that the Ukrainians were now the best in the world at using anti drone tech, far ahead of anyone else (due to combat experience). He seemed very credible / had no axe to grind
@jackm1892 Disastrous transfer window (Isak, missing out on Pedro/Ekitike, panic buys) = significant regression. Nothing mysterious about it. It’s happened to Spurs and Man U in recent years. Recruitment is critical. How many of our team get into mid-table sides? Trips, Willock, Elanga?
@jackm1892 None of Chelsea, Ajax or Copenhagen have sold out their allocation there (1,998) this season, so doubt we would either, especially on tight turnaround.
@jackm1892 We had a disastrous transfer window and are performing on par with the level of players in the squad. We are maybe 8th or 9th best team in the league on paper and will finish around there. Nothing mysterious about it really. Bad transfer windows have consequences.
